M.R. Rural Education Society was established, in year 1993 by a group of learned and socially concerned people to provide quality education, both general or technical with a view to gear up prevailing educational avenues into a Center of Excellence.  Since 2017 the Society has been providing   Diploma course in Veterinary Livestock development with very good track record.  This laid the foundation for enhancing veterinary education in the form of Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary and Animal Husbandry.  To meet the demand and supply of veterinarians and para-veterinarians and provide the highest quality facilities in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary sciences, management of M.R. Rural Education Society and staff of the college established M.R. College of Veterinary Science and Research Centre (MRCVS & RC) in 2021. 

The MRCVS & RC is situated on Jhajjar-Kosli Road, State Highway No-22, Hassanpur, Jhajjar, Haryana.   The college is located just 10 kms from Jhajjar district, in a peaceful and natural green surrounding.  The location has its own importance as it is just 50 kms away from New Delhi and situated in National Capital Region which is home to world-renowned Murrah buffaloes, also called “Black Gold”.

MRCVS & RC is approved by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) Govt. of India and is affiliated to Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar. The Institute follows the course curriculum for B.V.Sc. & A.H. as per the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education (MSVE 2016) prescribed by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi.

The college has already left an indelible mark while awarding 2 year Diploma in Veterinary and Livestock Development Program (VLDD). It is now offering Five and half year Degree Program in Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc.&A.H.) including one year rotational compulsory internship program. The College has been permitted an intake of sixty students annually to impart quality education in theoretical and practical fields both. The eligibility for admission is based on NEET exam.

The college provides talented and dedicated faculty drawn from across the country with both national and international exposure.  In the future too, the college endeavors to appoint teaching professionals with excellent academic record for new departments so as to ensure professional competency and overall development of new graduates from this college.

Admission Procedure

The admission process for M.R. College of Veterinary Science and Research Centre in Haryana for the B.V.Sc & A.H. program involves appearing for the NEET (UG) exam and meeting specific eligibility criteria. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, securing at least 50% marks. The merit list is based on NEET scores, and in case of a tie, 10+2 marks in relevant subjects and age are considered.

  • Maximum age: 25 years for general category; an additional 5 years relaxation for SC/BC Haryana candidates. No such relaxation applies for management quota seats.
    

• NEET (UG) Requirement:

  • NEET-UG score is mandatory for admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. program.
