Mysore College of Engineering & Management is one of the new educational ventures of Jnanavaahini Shikshana Samsthe. MYCEM is a private college in Mysore which was established in the year 2015 with the objectives of producing young and dynamic professionals.  It is an object of pride for technical education of Karnataka.

 
Mysore College of Engineering and Management is located in 13 acres of serene greenery on the T Narsipura Road, Near Big Banyan Tree Chikkahalli, Mysuru, Karnataka.  It is a unique institution, free from noise, pollution and situated in the most peaceful and ideal surroundings conducive for studies, sports, personality development.

 
MYCEM is Recognised by the Governmentt of Karnataka and is affiliated to Visvevaraya Technological University (VTU). Belagavi.  The institute is  Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

 
The Mysore College of Engineering & Management offers UG Degree program – 4 year BE course in 7 different disciplines of Engineering.  Admission to the Institute will be made according to directives of AICTE and Karnataka Government as applicable to each academic year. The qualifying exam to any of the B.E. Programs will be KCET and COMED-K .

The well-equipped MYCEM Training, Placement and Corporate Relation Cell plays a vital role in preparing students for the real world and making them industry-ready. This cell develops and maintains close relationship with leading industries of the country to organize campus interviews to provide Internship and job opportunities for its students and regularly collaborate with industries for various skill development programs.  Top names in the industry such as Amazon, Seleation, Acuvate, Hashed.in, Inventron, Vertex, Infosys, Wipro, and many more come to the college on a regular basis to take part in the Campus Recruitment Drives.

First Year

KCET process

The candidate shall have passed the second year Pre University or XII Standard or Equivalent examinations held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects :- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics and has secured not less than forty Five (45%) percent of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the language for admission to Engineering and Technology Courses.

Provided further that the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes specified in the relevant Government order for the purpose of reservation in respect of Engineering and Technology courses.

3 year Diploma with minimum of 50 percent marks in the final examination for Lateral Entry

Any other equivalent examination approved by the VTU

Admission to the Institute will be made according to directives of AICTE and Karnataka Government as applicable to each academic year.

Admission to the B.E. Programmes will be through CET and COMED-K only. Management quota seats are also available.

Library

Library and Information Centre was established in the year 2015 to support the Educational and Research objectives of the institute by providing information in the field of Basic Science, Engineering fields. The library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of books, e-books, journals and magazines useful for the faculty, students and research community. The Library and information Centre is fully automated and spread over 400 sq. m. space. It has a seating capacity of over 150 students in the Reference section. The Library has good collection of books, journals, reports. Library is subscribing international and national journals/magazines. The library offers services such as Book borrowing facility, User guidance, News paper clipping.
Library is using the KOHA an integrated Library Management software package with all the modules for library housekeeping operations. The online public access catalogue has more than 4.8 thousands records of books. Using OPAC, user can search the books by Author, Title, Subject and keywords. Also, the users can get information about the latest editions of periodicals, books and the status of the document.

Hostel

MyCEM presentiy undertaken a co-operative basis PG from only MyCEM students. Food , The washer man and cleaners are avaliable in the PG regularly.
A PG has a common room for 2/3 students. Here, the students assemble together to study or to watch television. They also discuss ingroups about the daily events, politics, current issues etc. MyCEM PG generally has a well furnished bed and tables. MyCEM PG has facilities for indoor,outdoor games also like basketball, volleyball, badminton etc. A student can develop his mind and body.

1. BALGOPAL( 2nd year CSE) won 2rd place in VTU Intercollegiate zonal level Wrestling Competition 2022- 2023, organized by VVCE, Mysore.
2. SONUSHREE (1st year E&C) selected in NCC REPUBLICDAY CAMP in new Delhi.
3.BALGOPAL( 2nd year CSE) selected in VTU for Inter University Wrestling Competition 2022-23, organized by Hirasugar Institute of Technology, Belagavi.

 Transportation

MyCEM College buses are used for student transportation during morning and evening hours, Monday through Saturday. Generally buses are used to pick the students from Mysore intercity to college. At same time another bus used to pick the students from Chamarajanagar route. MyCEM have royal busses and AMBLUANCE service in case of emergency for students care.
