Admission Procedure

Admission to Nalbari Medical College & Hospital is based strictly on NEET-UG scores, followed by counseling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, for the State Quota. Candidates must appear for the NEET-UG exam to be eligible for admission.

• Seat Allotment

  • Seats are allocated based on NEET scores, category, and domicile status.

Eligiblity

1. Age Limit

• Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December 2025.

• The maximum age limit is 25 years, with a relaxation of 3 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC categories. 

2. Educational Qualifications

• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English from a recognized board.

• A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is required for general category candidates; 40% for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates. 

3. Domicile Requirements

• Candidates must have resided in Assam for not less than 20 years, evidenced by a certificate in Annexure-I of the Application Form in Schedule-I of the admission rules.

• This requirement does not apply to children of All India Services officers allocated to Assam, for whom a service certificate of the parent from the relevant Assam government authority must be provided if called for counselling
