Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College, commonly known as NGM College, is an autonomous, co-educational Arts and Science institution located in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. The college was established on 12 July 1957 with the objective of providing higher-education opportunities to students from Pollachi and the surrounding regions. It was founded through the initiative of Pollachi Kalvi Kazhagam, with Thiru S.P. Nallamuthu Gounder as the chief donor and founder and Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam playing a major role in its development. The halls of the institute are well furnished and are used for organising events and programmes. Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College well-equipped labs that help in conducting the practical classes NGM College provides a comprehensive campus environment with academic buildings, classrooms, laboratories, computer facilities, auditoriums, internet connectivity, student-support services and recreational facilities. The campus also includes a cooperative store, bank and ATM, post office, guest house and canteen. The Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Centenary Library serves as an important academic resource centre for students and faculty. The library provides a large collection of books along with journals, periodicals, e-books and online resources.
