ADMISSION PROCEDURE 

The students seeking admission to the first semester of the eight semesters B.E./B.Tech.Degree Programme shall require satisfying eligibility rules as prescribed by the University and the Government of Tamil Nadu from time to time.The students who possess the Diploma in Engineering/Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of B.E./B.Tech. degree programme and required to satisfy the conditions of admissions there to prescribed by the University and the Government of Tamil Nadu.Students for admission to the M.E./M.Tech./MBA/MCA degree programme will be required to satisfy the conditions of admission there to prescribed by the university and Government of Tamil Nadu. Admission Process

The students seeking admission to the first semester of the eight semesters B.E./B.Tech.Degree Programme shall require satisfying eligibility rules as prescribed by the University and the Government of Tamil Nadu from time to time.

Eligibility

• Must have passed 10+2 (Academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

M.E / M.B.A / M.C.A - 2 Year Course

Admission Process

Students for admission to the M.E./M.Tech./MBA/MCA degree programme will be required to satisfy the conditions of admission there to prescribed by the university and Government of Tamil Nadu. Detailed admission criterion is given below.

Eligibility

Candidates for admission to the first semester of the Postgraduate Degree programme shall be required to have passed an appropriate Under-Graduate Degree Examination as specified under qualification for admission as per the Tamil Nadu Common Admission(TANCA) criteria.

Scholarship

ST/ST SCHOLARSHIP – GOVERNMENT OF INDIA/TAMIL NADU

• Those candidates who are Indian citizens and who have passed School leaving examination, viz. Higher Secondary/ Indian School Certificate, etc. are eligible for this scholarship.
  
• The income of the parent should not exceed Rs 2,50,000 per annum.
  
• The scholarship is renewable from year to year within the stages of education.
  
• The candidate should not be in receipt of another scholarship/assistance from other sources.
  

Placement

Lifelong learning is a central aspect of today’s society, and the Career Cell at NGCE assists students in planning and upgrading their professional skills at various stages in their careers. It collaborates with Placement Officers. The Career Cell’s tasks include organising soft-skill growth courses and training sessions, performing aptitude, dexterity, and other exams, and organising coaching classes for various competitive examinations. Academic, personal, and financial factors all affect educational decisions, and the strong student-faculty partnership fostered at NGCE enables students to discuss each of these with experience, allowing them to make the best decision possible.

Facilities:

• We have Presentation Halls (14,000 Sq ft. can accommodate 4000+ students), Group Discussion Rooms, Interview Rooms and High speed internet facility and would be happy to arrange schedules for campus interviews.
  
• Placement cell is functioning in the college effectively. Students with higher percentage of marks participate in Interviews arranged by Anna University for leading
• software companies like Infosys, CTS, TCS and US Software etc. Many students have been placed in several companies.
  
• The campus recruitment program is conducted in two sessions, the first from mid-November to mid-December and the second from January to February.

The classes are digitally equipped, enabling provisions like audio-visual aids that simulate an enhanced learning experience for the students. We also offer facilities for simultaneous in-person, online delivery of lectures and guest interactions. The tables and chairs inside the classes are ergonomically designed, keeping in mind the potential benefits of healthy posture in improving student outcomes.NGCE offers more than 1000 high-end Computers operating in Microsoft Windows and Ubuntu platforms, for research and communication needs. All the computers have high-speed (100/1000 Mbps) Ethernet/OFC/Wi-Fi Connectivity, enabling secure and hassle-free access to learning resources across the world.

The college library truly complements the institution’s objective in offering the finest quality education possible. There are over 34000 Hardbound books of standard publishers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and Management discipline, scientific magazines of technical genre along with international periodicals and daily newspapers in both native and English languages.By education, Mahatma Gandhi meant an all-round drawing out of the best in the child and man-body, mind and spirit. Only a person with healthy body and mind can acquire wisdom in entirety.

Since its inception, under the supervision and guidance of Department of Physical Education, NGCE has been giving immense importance to physical and cognitive recreation of students via sports and games. Physical education is a crucial component of the academics, hence our institution offers numerous facilities to improve and maintain physical health. The Physical Education Department has curated person-specific wellness programmes that enhance cognitive capacities and motor skills via athletics and exercises. The college has immaculate sports fields and courts for National and State specific sports and games.

The college features a roomy cafeteria that includes a well-maintained dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. This cafeteria offers cost-effective refreshments and meals to both students and staff, particularly benefitting day scholars who travel long distances to campus. It offers a diverse selection of hygienic food and snacks, ranging from South Indian meals to Chinese cuisine and juices. Additionally, the cafeteria stocks branded packaged snacks for sale.

Narayana Guru College of Engineering (NGCE) has a dedicated Health Centre to provide first aid and timely medical services to students, faculty members, staff and contract workers inside the campus. A trained medical professional along with an assisting team are available 24/7 to perform initial assessment of illnesses and injuries.

Transport

The institution has more than 43 well-maintained buses that transport students, staff and faculty members on a daily basis. The bus terminus includes Trivandrum, Neyyatinkara, Kattakada, Kazhakootam, Pothencode, Vithura, Nedumangadu, Vembayam, Venjaramoodu, Marthandam, and Thuckalay areas.
