Our Regular college was established in 1994. In the year of 2008 our college initiate the CPP Programme collaborate with Bharathiar University. Initially the name was combined with Regular College. Then, the CPOP Programme was converted into CPP Programmes in the year 2011. The name of Navarasam Institute of Arts and Science in the year 2014 . The Programme begins with UG, PG and PG Diploma courses. Totally 5899 stude nts are benefited through this programme.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2012-2013

The placement cell of the Navarasam Arts and Science College was started with the clear stated vision and mission on 08.06.05 under the direct supervision of the placement officer Dr.V.Sugumar, Head, Department of management with five active members. The Placement Cell was inaugurated by Mr.I.Selvam, Vice Principal, Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women. The Coaching and Training Classes are conducted every Saturday in the college Auditorium Or Conference Hall. Two Training Program, one Awareness Program, One IAS Coaching and One TNPSC Coaching Classes were conducted for the upliftment of the students with respective efficient Resource Persons.

In the academic year 2012 – 2013 various companies were invited To participate in the campus interview to be conducted to hire efficient working people to add laurels for their company. 35 students were placed through on-campus mode in various companies viz, Infosys, Bangalore, Enrich Academy, Coimbatore, Hicitizen Life Skills, Perundurai and RFF Infra Project, Erode. 7 students were paced through off-campus mode. A sum of 42 students was placed in this academic year.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2013-2014

The placement cell of the Navarasam Arts and Science College is under the direct supervision of the placement officer Dr.V.Sugumar,Head, Department of management with five active members. The placement cell was inaugurated by Mr. Yuvaraj, Junior Assistant, Cunoor.

The Coaching and Training Classes are conducted every Saturday in the college Auditorium Or Conference Hall. Two Training Program, Two Awareness Program, One Bank Coaching class and One special Training Class for Final Year UG and PG students was conducted for the benefit of the students with respective efficient Resource Persons.

In the academic year 2013 – 2014 various companies were invited to be an active member of the campus interview and employ efficient employee to add laurels for our Institution. 48 students were placed through on-campus mode in various companies viz, Enrich Academy, Coimbatore, Astrick Solutions, Perundurai, Bannari Amman Sugars Limited, and TCS, Chennai. 15 students were paced through off-campus mode. Totally 63 students were placed in this academic year.

Totally 92 students were placed in various companies in this academic year.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2016-2017

The placement cell of the Navarasam Arts and Science College was inaugurated by Dr. Logambal, The Principal, Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women. The placement cell was still under the direct supervision and effective functioning of Dr.V.Sugumar with six dynamic members. The Coaching and Training Classes are conducted every Saturday in the college Auditorium Or Conference Hall. One Training Program and one Awareness Program, six TNPSC classes, one Insurance Awareness Program was conducted for the improvement of the students with respective skilled Resource Persons.

In the academic year 2015 – 2016 various companies were requested to be an active member of the campus interview and employ efficient employee to add laurels for our Institution. 301 students were placed through on-campus mode in Vestige Technology, Career Max, Susi Staffing Services, Samy Educational Services, IDL Academy, MUA Technology Solutions, Z Plus Technology, IDBI, Eureka Forbs, New Jobs Placement Services. 23 students were paced through off-campus mode. Totally 324 students were placed in various companies in this academic year.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2017-2018

The placement cell was still under the direct supervision and effective functioning of Dr.V.Sugumar with five dynamic members.The Coaching and Training Classes are conducted every Saturday in the college Auditorium Or Conference Hall. Totally 43 placement programs were conducted in this year. 81 students got selection in the on-campus interview. 50 students got placed through off-campus interview.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-2019

The placement cell of the Navarasam Arts and Science College was inaugurated by the Principal Dr.P.Sharmila and Placement officer Dr.V.Sugumar,Head, Department of management. The placement cell was still under the direct supervision and effective functioning of Dr.V.Sugumar with dynamic members.The Coaching and Training Classes are conducted every Saturday in the college Auditorium Or Conference Hall. Totally 20 placement programs were conducted in this year. A total of 155 students got placed. 88 students got selected through on-campus interview.67 students got placed through off-campus interview.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020

The placement cell was still under the direct supervision and effective functioning of Dr.V.Sugumar with dynamic members.The placement cell was divided into two groups for paving way for effective placement. 12 training programs and 17 placement Programs were conducted. Totally 588 studentsgot placed in this year. 491 students placed through online campus interview and 97 students got placed through offline campus interview.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-2021

The placement cell of the Navarasam Arts and Science College was inaugurated by the Principal Dr.P.Sharmila and Placement officer Dr.V.Sugumar, Head, Department of management. The placement cell was still under the direct supervision and effective functioning of Dr.V.Sugumar with dynamic members.The placement cell was divided into two groups for paving way for effective placement. Due to covid pandemic, only 4 placement programs were conducted including the training and placement. Girls Hostel

The College provides the students an accommodation that will be a home feel and ambiance while staying at the hostel. The College provides a safe, clean, comfortable, eco-friendly environment in a lush green campus that supports the development of a vibrant Navarasam student community. Overall students can have a pollution-free breath. A spacious and modern kitchen with steam cooking caters to the appetites of hostel residents, serving deliciously healthy and nutritious food. Special care is taken to maintain strict hygienic conditions. The institution takes special care to provide the necessary provision and creates a secure atmosphere for the inmates.

The College has a Well equipped gymnasium has been installed

Library

The College Library was established in the year 1994 with 121 students and 150 books. The College takes pride in having a Central Library block with a built-up area of 2800 sq. ft. The Library has more than 29000 books and subscribes to 117 journals which include National and International Journals and Magazines. Book Bank facility is also available for SC/ST Students. All the Back Volume issues of journals are bound and kept for ready reference service. All Departments have their own library to cater to the instant reference needs of faculty members. The Library has computerized all its housekeeping operations using the Dolphin Software which is well-maintained and updated regularly.

I.T Infrastructure

The College computer applications lab has a detached lab for BCA and MCA. The BCA lab has 72 systems with all required software according to the syllabus and UGC syllabus also. The MCA lab has 35 systems with all required software according to the syllabus.

Cafeteria

The College has a spacious canteen at each of its campuses. At the canteen, dishing out menus are highly popular among students as well as staff. It is the place where they keep their creative juices flowing with hot discussions, chewing ideas, exchanging, and sharing strongly held opinions and eatables. A variety of hygienic food and snack items includes Variety of Rice, Cakes, Fresh Juices, Fruits, and Ice Creams.

Auditorium

The college has one auditorium with a seating capacity of 2500 and a conference hall with the seating capacity of 1500 students aided with audiovisual resources.

Transport Facility

The College has transport facilities to the students at present 29 buses are operated from the college campuses. Most of the buses are operated in rural areas for the convenience of the students.

Medical/Hospital

The college hostel has a health center and a qualified lecturer cum medical officer takes care of the students, teaching, non-teaching staff, and all the other workers in the hostel campus. This center has a well-conditioned room, which has one bed, attached bathroom, and other facilities. A medical practitioner is appointed to visit the hostel every for an hour. However, the service at call will be available round the clock. the college hostel has an understanding with nearby hospitals, in Arachalur to attend to emergencies and inpatient facilities.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

OUR TRANSPORTS

A fully fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facilities to students. This service is offered to ensure hassle-free and safe transportation. To ensure safety and security of the students the college has employed qualified and experienced drivers. The Transport schedule is designed in such a way that buses will reach the campus 10 minutes before the commencement of the academic work of the institution.
