The year, 1976 saw the origin of Nazareth Nursery School with seven children. Over the years, it has grown leaps and bounds to accommodate more than 9000 students. C&D Educational Trust develops, formulates and implements various activities that impart education with deep sense of social upliftment and communal harmony

In the year 2000, Nazareth College of Arts and Science was started with non-conventional and job oriented courses. Each course has been carefully selected with due consideration to the national agenda on employments.

NCAS Admission Process

NCAS offers nine courses at UG and PG level in various specialisations. Admission cycle of the institute usually commences in June in accordance to University of Madras. NCAS offers admission to all its UG and PG degree programmes based on aggregate obtained by a candidate in previous qualifying degree/ exam. The selected candidates are further called for an institute level-interview round for allotment of seats.

NCAS UG Admission

NCAS offers UG programmes including BSc, BCom, BA, BCA and BBA of three-year duration. Some of the UG courses including BCom (General), BBA, BSc (Computer Science) and BCA is also offered in evening shift. Admission to all UG programmes including evening shift is based on aggregate obtained by a candidate in Class 12. A brief overview of NCAS UG courses is given below:

NCAS PG Admission

At PG level, NCAS offers four two-year programmes including MSc, MA, MCom and MSW in various specialisations. MSc in Computer Science is also offered by NCAS in evening shift. Candidates willing to seek admission to any of these PG programmes are evaluated based on aggregate obtained by a candidate in bachelor’s degree followed by an interview round.

Career and Placements Cell (CPC) plays a pivotal role for positioning students in organizations of repute. Corporate readiness and outlooks of potential recruiters are matched through continuous training programmes for students without unsettling academic quintessence.  CPC networks with corporates and updates students about positions vacant based on their area of interest. Course, Industry & Corporate specific workplace readiness are inculcated in students.

Career awareness and corporate exposure are indulged through corporate explorations

Individual Student’s competencies are assessed and they are trained for various job verticals.

Pre-Placement talks, Group Discussion, Role Play, Aptitude, Reasoning Ability Business communication are some pedagogy for succeeding in corporate interview

Alumni convergence to share on field experiences and update the latest happening in every field for students workplace readiness

PLACEMENT PROCESS

Students need to register for placement with a registration form issued by their Placement Officer.

Apply for the placement drive with the registration link shared by the respective companies.

The pre-placement talk will be conducted.

Skill of each individual is assessed through an aptitude tests.

First-round cleared students will be called for Group Discussion or JAM session.

The final Round will be Technical or HR Round.

Some companies may conduct some more round to filter the students.

Provisional Offer letter will be given for the selected candidates within a couple of days.

Nazareth College of Arts and Science Scholarships and Funding

Government Scholarship, Fee concession and Full scholarship is given to meritorious sport students. Also, Alumni scholarship is given to students excelling in sports every year.
