Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology is a self-financing Engineering College, Approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Affiliated to Anna University Chennai, and Accredited by NAAC & NBA. NIET is established in the year 2006, under the able leadership of our Founder Chairman, Shri. P. K. Das is entering into its fifteenth successful year by marching ahead towards achieving the Vision and Mission of the Founder Chairman under the guidance of the most respected Managing Trustee Adv. Dr.P.Krishna Das, and the most beloved CEO and Secretary Dr.P.Krishna Kumar.

In its fifteenth year of establishment, NIET has evolved into a multidisciplinary, research-focused and student centric Institution offering 11 academic programs, 8 at the Undergraduate level and 3 at Postgraduate level. NIET comprises of dedicated team of eminent faculty members, rich in knowledge and with good retention rate, 5 Centre of Excellences, Well-equipped Laboratories, Excellent Infrastructure, Smart Classrooms, Amphitheatres and Conference Halls.

Admission Procedures
Step 1:Collect the prescribed application form of the college by remitting the cost of it in cash/ DD from any of our Admission Center .

Step 2: Submit the duly filled application form with necessary documents and initial booking fees of the course to any of our Admission Center .

For alien students require equivalence certificate from AIU( Association of Indian Universities- NewDelhi")

Important Note
The college authorities have the ultimate power to cancel the admission, if any of the certificates submitted by the candidate found to be false or tampered with or the eligibility of the candidate is not approved by the university

Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances and the same is applicable to the candidate those who immediately discontinue the course or discontinue in the middle of course duration. Those discontinued students are liable to pay entire course fee and the same is applicable to the students those who has been expelled from the college on any disciplinary grounds.

The admission will fully confirmed only after getting the approval from the university.

Nehru Group of Institutions setup Admission Center. for the benefit of admission seekers, they provide all information’s related to the course selection, its curriculum and its prospects without any cost. All the admission center officials are authorised to take admission on behalf of NGI so that you have an opportunity to book your seat with proper guidance at your place. To book your seat, you are advised to pay initial fees of respective courses.The officials are bounded to issue provisional admission certificate and temporary receipt at the time of your initial payment and the same will be confirmed after you report to the corporate office.

Placements: 60% of students are placed in our course. INR 3.5 lakh per year is the highest package in our college. Rambo, Oneye, and Mahindra are the top recruiting companies. 95 percent are taking an internship with IBM and Infosys in cyber security.

Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore has a well-designed infrastructure that provides a conducive environment for learning. The campus is spread over an area of 10.56 acres and is located in Thirumalayampalayam, Coimbatore. The campus is surrounded by lush greenery and is free from pollution, making it an ideal place for students to study.

NIET Coimbatore has 48 ICT-enabled classrooms, 4 smart classrooms, 2 drawing halls, 4 seminar halls, and a boardroom. The classrooms are equipped with the latest technology and tools to aid in the learning process. Additionally, the institution has 36 laboratories with the required equipment and software. The laboratories cater to the needs of students from various disciplines, including Science, Engineering, and Technology.

NIET Coimbatore has a WI-FI-enabled campus, enabling students to stay connected and access online resources. The Central Library named PK Das Knowledge Fort covers an area of 30,000 sq. ft. and has a collection of books and journals in Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, and Management. The library maintains separate collections of reference books, back volumes of journals, and compact discs. It also has an Auto Lib OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) system that allows users to search for books online.

NIET Coimbatore has a seminar hall and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 2500, making it possible to conduct large-scale events such as seminars, conferences, and cultural events. It also has lecture halls and common rooms for students to interact and engage in group discussions.

NIET Coimbatore has a 10,000 sq.m playing area that includes a football ground, volleyball ground, kabaddi ground, kho-kho ground, ball badminton ground, and basketball ground. The campus also has an indoor sports complex and facilities for gym and yoga. It has a spacious Yoga Hall of 420 sq.m where students can practice yoga and other physical activities.

The campus has a Canara Bank with an ATM and a canteen that caters to the food requirements of students and staff. It also has a dispensary room with a medical officer and provides bus facilities for commuting. Additionally, NIET Coimbatore has a hostel facility for students who wish to stay on campus. The hostel has all the necessary amenities and provides a safe and secure environment for students.
