Nehru Institute of Information Technology and Management (NIITM) is one of the self-financing engineering colleges established in 2006, September with a vision to be a prominent centre for excellence in Management and Information Technology.  NIIITM comes under the aegis of Nehru Group of Institutions .The ultimate goal of this institute is to create new generation managers and technocrats with  entrepreneurial and managerial skills.  Beyond academia, the institute laid foundations for students to explore and expose the intricacies of reality by corporate interactions. (London), C.Engg., who is a well known educationist with rich experience in meticulously planning in establishing and marvelously administering educational institutions.  He is a great industrialist with overwhelming spirit of entrepreneurship and excellent business acumen–who is a philanthropist with utmost care and concern for suppressed and suffering human beings – who is, in a nutshell,l humane in all his approaches. The Trust comprises of Adv.P.Krishna Das, Dr.P.Thulasi  and Mr. P.Krishna Kumar  as Trust members.

NIITM campus is spread over an area of 25 acres in Thirumalayampalayam (Coimbatore District) and located inside the campus of Nehru Arts and Science College.   It is situated in Nehru Gardens, T.M.Palayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. 

NIITM is Affiliated to Anna University, Tamil Nadu and approved by AICTE. The college is certified ISO 9001:2000 by the International Certification Services.

Starting from scratch in 1968, this great leader spent each ounce of his energy and sweat to establish 20 prestigious institutions in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Through his hard toil, sweat, firm determination and strict self discipline, he established Nehru College of Aeronautics and Applied Sciences at Kuniamuthur, Coimbatore in 1968. Besides this college, he established four engineering colleges, one Arts & Science college, one Pharmacy College, one Aviation Institute and one Super Speciality Hospital and four Management Colleges in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. He was hardly 29 years of age in 1968, when he started his career as Academician at Coimbatore.

ADMISSION

Nehru Institute of Information Technology MBA Admissions

Students are admitted to the NIITM's MBA program only if they meet the eligibility requirements defined by the institute before enrollment. The following are the requirements to be considered for eligibility. Candidates who have completed their UG degree with a least 50% marks can apply for MBA admission at NIITM. The selection of the candidates depends on the valid score obtained in the TANCET entrance exam.

Nehru Institute of Information Technology Application Process

NIIT application process is online. Candidates seeking admission to the PG courses must register online for the TANCET entrance exam via online by logging into Anna University's main website.

How to apply for TANCET?

Candidates must complete the TANCET registration process by giving a valid email address, phone number, and password in addition to other required information.

·         Proceed to fill out the necessary information after you have logged in with your login name and password.

·         Your application should be accompanied by a scanned copy of your passport-size photo and signature.

·         In addition to application fees, candidates in the general category must pay INR 700 as application candidates in the reserved category pay INR 500 as application costs.

·         Fees can be paid with debit/credit cards or by transferring monies via the internet banking system (net banking).

Library: NIITM’s Library has a well-furnished and spacious reading hall. The LIbrary has more than 8000 volumes of books on computer Science and Management Subjects.

Classrooms: Nehru Institute of Information Technology & Management takes pride in the state of the art smart classrooms with WIFI Access. All our classrooms are air-conditioned, thereby providing a very conducive learning atmosphere for the students.

Auditorium: The Auditorium has Excellent Acoustics with a seating capacity of 300 people. It is furthermore equipped with a Professional Quality sound system using JBL Speakers, Crown Amplifiers & a Hitech Soundcraft Mixer.

Hostel: The institute has separate hostel facilities for girls and boys with state-of-the-heart infrastructure, telephone, cable connection and all modern amenities. All the hostels are posted with security personnel of reputed external security service providers.

Transportation

College bus plies between various destinations for students and faculty. The students are issued with the valid bus pass. They are allowed to travel only with the bus pass between the choosen destinations. The bus passes are renewed from time to time.
