New Prince Shri Bhavani College of Engineering and Technology (NPSBCET) is a private self-financing institution run by the erstwhile Tmt. Abaranjee Ammal Educational Society,Chennai. Established in 2008, it is a premier autonomous Institute located in Tamil Nadu.  The prime objective of the institute is providing quality engineering education for the students studying in all engineering and techological streams and to provide an opportunity to utilize physical facilities, human resources and knowledge resources available in educational institutions to maximize the knowledge acquisition

NPSBCET is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

Admission Procedure

Candidates for the admission to the first semester of the Master’s Degree Programme shall be required to have passed an appropriate U.G degree examination of Anna University or any other examination of any University or authority accepted by the Syndicate of Anna University as equivalent thereto. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the common entrance examination (TANCET) conducted by the state and selected candidates are allotted to various colleges for admission. Details regarding the entrance examination are published in the newspapers well in advance every year. Candidates may also appear directly for admission to the College under Management Quota. Appearing for entrance examination for these seats is a must and this entrance examination is counducted by the college on its campus. Admission forms may be obtained from the Admission office.

The College library has well-stocked reference books, national and international journals, magazines, CDs, e-learning journals, etc., All the students are encouraged to make use of the books and the journals from the library. The books are arranged and classified according to the Colon classification system. The library opens from 8. am to 4.45 pm on all working days. The learning center has internet access for the students and the staff members to make use of the articles and the journals. It can accommodate 150 students. The books, journals, and magazines are kept in pertaining to all the departments in the college.

Sports

College students are expected to perform not only in academics but also in sports. Students will be encouraged to participate in sports activities as they wish and particularly in athletics, cricket, tennis, table tennis, chess, volleyball, basketball, etc., The students who can perform exceptionally do well in the game will be sent to tournaments.
