NIIT University was established in the year 2009 in Neemrana, Rajasthan. It is a private university approved by UGC offers UG, PG, and Doctoral level programs. UG level programs include BBA, B.Tech of four-year duration under 5 specializations, Integrated M.Tech, Integrated M.Sc and Integrated MBA course. PG level courses include M.Tech course of 2-years duration in 2 disciplines. The university also offers Ph.D course of minimum 3-years duration.

• For admission to the UG courses, candidate must have successfully completed 10+2
• Admission to B.Tech, Integrated M.Tech & Integrated M.Sc is based on JEE MAIN /BITSAT/SAT/NEET/any other state-level entrance exam.

• Those who do not have any of the above scores need to appear in the NUAT exam conducted by the university itself.

NITT University M.Tech. Eligibility

• Candidates must have secured at least 50% in 10^th, 10+2, Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree(if applicable).
• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in any field.
• Professionals with 3 years- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two years adequate IT training and professional practicing in an ET relevant industry/ organization/ dept./ desk/ in India or abroad are eligible.
• Candidates with three-years relevant experience in any of the above-mentioned areas can also apply.

​NITT University M.Tech. Selection Criteria

• Admission to M.Tech course is through a unique Admission Interaction Process (AIP).
• The AIP consists of 2 parts: firstly candidates need to appear for the Aptitude Test which is of 40 minutes duration.
• Those who qualify the test will undergo the Applicant-Faculty Interaction process either face to face or through video conferencing.
• Selected candidates will have to submit the Acceptance letter duly signed by them and their parent/guardian within 5 working days of receiving the Admission Offer Letter along with a non-refundable acceptance cum admission processing fee of INR 25,000/-.

Key Points:

• The Pre-Service Applicants are required to appear for the NIIT University ET Admission Competency Test and a subsequent screening interview.

NIIT University Ph.D. Admission 2023

NIIT University offers the Ph.D. course of minimum 3-years duration under their Doctoral program. Candidates who have completed Master’s degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Management/ Social Science/ Commerce from recognized university. Candidates with BE or B.Tech Degree and minimum 8.85 CGPA on the scale of 10.0 and have valid GATE score are considered eligible to get admission to the course.

Admission to Ph.D. program is given on the basis of marks obtained in GRE/GMAT / JRF/ CSIR/ NET or candidate’s performance in the entrance test and interview round conducted by the University. The university entrance test and interview is given 40% and 60% weightage respectively.

NIIT University is a premier institution with an active placement cell. The institute is conducitng its placement drive for the batch 2022 and has once again achieved 100% placements. More than 700 recruiters participated in the placement drive. The average CTC stood at INR 6.67 LPA for Date science and INR 5.28 LPA for cyber security 

NU has completed its placement drive for the batch 2021 with 100% students placed and 127 offers received During the placement drive 70 companies participated among which 66% were first time recruiters and the Highest CTC stood at INR 24.08 LPA whereas the Average CTC stood at INR 6.16 LPA.

Some of the top recruiters like IBM, Cisco, EY, Genpact, Morgan Stanley, participated in the placement drive of 2021.

In the placement drive of 2021, 100% students were placed and 70 companies recruited 127 students among which 44% were new recruiters.

During the placement drive of 2021, the Highest CTC stood at INR 24.08 LPA whereas the average CTC stood at INR 6.16 LPA and 82 students received the package of more than INR 5 LPA.

NU Scholar Research Program

To encourage and support meritorious Applicants,  has a very distinctive scholarship Programme called the ‘NU Scholar Search Programme’. Under this Programme, an Applicant may qualify for a scholarship up to full waiver on the University Tuition Fee. Merit Scholarship is awarded on the basis of :

NU Scholar Search Programme offers the following scholarship plans. The benefits under each plan are as follows:

• Merit Scholarship Plan (MS 1 Level): INR 200,000 scholarship annually on University Tuition Fee only.
• Merit Scholarship Plan (MS 2+ Level): INR 150,000 scholarship annually on University Tuition Fee only.
• Merit Scholarship Plan (MS 2 Level): INR 100,000 scholarship annually on University Tuition Fee only. 
• Merit Scholarship Plan (MS 3 Level): INR 50,000 scholarship annually on University Tuition Fee only.

Terms and conditions of merit scholarship:

1. The above scholarships are merit-based and subject to availability. 
2. In the EAD mode, the Scholarship being offered will be on the basis of Class 10 performance with an assumption that the Class 12 performance will be equal to Class 10 performance. 
3. The Scholarship may be upgraded (if applicable )in case the applicant achieves higher than Class 10 performance in class 12 aggregate scores and also based on the Applicant’s JEE Main/BITSAT/SAT/NEET scores/percentile, as applicable. However, if the applicant’s performance in Class 12 is lower than Class 10, his/her Scholarship will be retained to the same level offered already. The Applicants must share these details within 15 days from the date of result declaration to the Admission Committee for consideration.
4. The scholarship is valid for the full duration of the NU Programme the student is enrolled in, subject to the student maintaining a minimum academic performance of AGPA (Annual Grade Point Average) or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 6.0 as per the then applicable University Academic Policy. The Scholarship may be upgraded for one Academic year in case the student scores AGPA/CGPA of 9.0 and above in any Academic year. Such student will continue to draw the upgraded Scholarship if her/ his AGPA/ CGPA continues to be at 9.0 or above. However, if it falls below 9.0 but remains above 6.0, the student Scholarship will be restored to the original level. In case the student scores a CGPA/ AGPA of 10.0 at the end of any Academic Year, a Full tuition fee waiver will be applicable for the next academic year. 
5. The decision for upgradation of scholarships at entry or in subsequent years is at the sole discretion of the NU Scholarship Committee and subject to the availability of scholarships.
6. The scholarship may be revoked in case the student faces disciplinary action or is unable to comply to minimum attendance rules as specified in the Attendance Policy.

Special Scholarship

A special scholarship is extended to exceptional merit holders and top performers in the country. This overrides a lower scholarship level determined previously. To qualify for Special Scholarship, the student should meet at least one of the following criteria: 

The students eligible for this scholarship are given Full Tuition Fee Waiver in the Programme subject to their maintaining a minimum AGPA/CGPA of 7.5 at the end of each Academic Year. To avail this scholarship, the students are required to submit the proof of meeting eligibility criteria at the time of Enrolment.

Scholarship for Co-Curricular Excellence (CoX)

Special Scholarships called CoX are being instituted in the AY 2023 for applicants who have demonstrated excellence in any area of Co-Curricular activities such as Sports, Music, Fine Arts, Theatre, Dance, or Social Service by participating in and receiving awards at State, National or International levels. All Applicants who have been offered Merit Scholarship and those who have not been offered Merit Scholarship, are eligible to apply for CoX if they have documentary evidence of co-curricular excellence as mentioned above. CoX Scholarship amount will be INR 25000 per year. The condition for retaining CoX Scholarship will be participating in the Students Club pertaining to the concerned co-curricular area.

CoX 2023 Scholarship

All Applicants who have been offered Merit Scholarship and those who have not been offered Merit Scholarship, are eligible to apply for CoX if they have documentary evidence of co-curricular excellence as mentioned above. CoX Scholarship amount will be Rs 25000/- per year. The condition for retaining CoX Scholarship will be participating in the Students Club pertaining to the concerned co-curricular area.

Special Fee Waiver

• A Fee waiver of INR 15,000 annually is applicable for a certain category of students defined as below:
• Siblings of NU students, current and alumni
• Children of current/ex-employees of NIIT Ltd and its subsidiaries & NIIT Foundation
• Children of current/ ex-employees of NU
• Wards of Armed Forces Personnel (Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force only)
• Students who are Domicile of Rajasthan will get a fee waiver of INR 25,000 annually for male students and INR 40,000 annually for female students.

The above waiver will be in addition to Merit Scholarship as applicable. The Fee waiver is applicable for only one of the categories mentioned above.

NIIT University ensures students are the recipients of world-class education and a very memorable campus life by offering several provisions and facilities to them on campus. Some of these are as follows: 

• Labs: The state-of-the-art labs and classrooms allow for an enriching educational experience
• Central Library: The students can visit the library which is well stocked with a good collection of text and reference books, e-journals, and journals to provide students with information and knowledge. The library features a nice hall room that is well ventilated. 
• Hostel: Accommodation is provided to male and female students with all necessary facilities such as water supply, mess, a recreation room; 24/7 ambulance availability, sports facility, fitness center, and medical assistance to assuring the comfort of students. All rooms are furnished with the required furniture and with Geothermal Coupling Cooling. NIIT University Faculty

The NIIT University houses a highly accomplished and qualified faculty of 61 members, out of which 42 hold Ph.Ds in their respective disciplines.
