Admission to Nirmala College of Engineering (NiCE), Thrissur is conducted in accordance with the norms of the Government of Kerala, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). For B.Tech programmes, admissions are primarily based on the candidate's KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical) entrance examination rank through the centralized allotment process conducted by the CEE. The remaining seats, if applicable, are filled under the management quota as per the regulations of the Admission Supervisory Committee and the Government of Kerala. Candidates seeking admission must satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria, register through the relevant admission portal, participate in the counselling or allotment process, submit the required documents for verification, and pay the prescribed admission fees to confirm their seats. Admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme is offered based on the applicable entrance examination and merit list prescribed by the Government of Kerala and the competent admission authority. Admission Process

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology as one optional subject, meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria.
• Applicants seeking merit admission must qualify in the KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture & Medical) entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
• Candidates must participate in the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) conducted by CEE Kerala and select Nirmala College of Engineering as their preferred institution during option registration.
• Management Quota and NRI Quota admissions are also available as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Kerala and the Admission Supervisory Committee. For NRI seats, KEAM qualification may not be mandatory, subject to prevailing regulations.
• Final admission is confirmed after seat allotment, document verification, payment of the prescribed admission fee, and fulfillment of the eligibility requirements of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology as one of the optional subjects.
• Candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry (or the prescribed optional subject taken in place of Chemistry) in the qualifying examination. Relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Government of Kerala norms.
• Applicants seeking merit admission must qualify in the KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture & Medical) entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
• Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and the Government of Kerala at the time of admission.

MCA

Admission Process

• Apply through the admission process prescribed by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and the Government of Kerala.
• Admission is based on the applicable entrance examination and/or merit as notified by the competent authority.
• Complete document verification and admission fee payment after selection.

Eligibility Criteria

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline.
• Candidates from other disciplines are also eligible if they have studied Mathematics at the 10+2 level or during graduation.
• Obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (relaxation as per Government/University norms for reserved categories).
