Admission Procedure

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), Bangalore offers a total of 38 courses at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology courses include BE, M.TEch, MBA, MCA and Ph.D. NMIT Bangalore BE admission is based on the scores obtained in the KCET or COMEDK UGET exams. Once the results are announced, a cutoff is released. Candidates who meet the NMIT Bangalore cutoff must participate in a counselling process, during which seats are allocated based on merit. For Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology admission to the M.Tech programmes at NMIT, candidates must take the Karnataka PGCET / GATE followed by counselling.

Ph.D Admission Process

• Candidates must first fulfil the eligibility criteria.
  
• Candidates need to register on the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) website to take the VTU Eligibility Test for Research (VTU-ETR).
  
• Candidates must score at least 50% marks in the VTU-ETR.
  
• Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE/ CAT/M. Phil is exempted from the entrance test.
  
• Qualified candidates need to fill out the NMIT application form and attend an interview.
  
• A merit list will be prepared based on the scores of VTU-ETR and the interview. A separate merit list will be prepared for candidates in the exempted category.
  
• Finally, selected candidates must submit the necessary documents and pay the fees to confirm the admission.
  

Scholarship
