About NICHE
Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education – comprising of Noorul Islam College of Engineering as its constituent teaching unit has been declared as a Deemed-to-be-University by Ministry of Human Resource Development  (Department of Higher Education), Government of India under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, on the advice of UGC, vide Notification No.F.9-51/2004-U.3 dated 8th
December 2008. The University is run by the Noorul Islam Center for Higher Education (NICHE) Society with Janab Dr. A.P. Majeed Khan as President of the Society, NICHE and the Chancellor of the University, NICHE.

    The University campus at
Kumaracoil, Thuckalay in Kanyakumari District of Tamilnadu is in the serene and lush green base of Velimalai, a spectacular part of Western Ghat Hills near the  historically famous Padmanabhapuram Palace. It is only 1.5 km interior towards  the foothills of the mountains from Kumaracoil Junction on the Kanyakumari Thiruvanthapuram National Highway (NH-47)-about 30 km from Kanyakumari and 60 km from Trivandrum, the capital city of the state of Kerala.

Noorul Islam College of Engineering, the constituent teaching unit of Noorul Islam University was established in the year 1989-90, with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education and started offering two engineering courses, namely, B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering and B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering with 40 students in each course.

Since then the college has registered continuous growth in academic activities by offering more and new Engineering and Technology courses with development of required      infrastructure facilities such as building, library, faculty, computers and relevant latest software and peripherals, equipment etc.

The educational institution – Noorul Islam College of Engineering - established with a humble beginning in the year 1989 with two undergraduate engineering programs with an intake capacity of 80 students, has now metamorphosed itself into one of the great and best educational institutions in southern part of India.  

The Noorul Islam College of Engineering, now, having attained the status of University, its responsibilities have become manifold and vision broadened and mission lengthened. The challenge that we have at hand now is the challenge of transforming the engineering education systems of India into a system of nurturing world-class quality in the human capital development side by side with the development of intellectual and knowledge capital to support the country's march towards economic and Industrial progress and development. 

Consistently commendable performance, constant endeavors to promote research and innovation, earnest efforts to foster linkages with the industry and community, imparting expertise in essential areas and achieving excellence are the hallmarks of a university. The Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education, besides achieving these hallmarks will also strive its best to realize its avowed ambition of reaching greater heights and putting higher and technical education on the right path and thereby accelerate the economic and industrial growth and progress of our nation.

Kanyakumari Admission Process

Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education gives admissions into the various courses based on

eligibility and students' performance in the entrance exams. Candidates

applying for NICHE

Kanyakumari UG admissions such as B.E/B. Tech, BSc, B.Com, BBA,

and B.ASLP should meet the eligibility.  Students should qualify for the

exams such as JEE Mains for B.E/B.Tech programme. And BBA and B.Com are done

based on merit in the qualifying examinations. Whereas for B.ASLP, and BSc, the

entrance exam is conducted by NICHE Kanyakumari.

NICHE Kanyakumari PG Admissions into the courses include

M.E/M. Tech, MCA, MBA, MA, M.Phil, and MSc are done on the eligibility criteria

set by the college. GATE/GRE scores

for ME/M. Tech programme, and admission to MA, and MSc are done based on merit

in the qualifying examination. For MCA admission, students should appear for

the entrance exam conducted by the college. NICHE Kanyakumari admissions for

the MBA programme depend on scores of CAT/MAT/SAT followed by group discussion

and interview. Valid scores of UGC NET/UGC JRF/ CSIR UGC NET/SLET or GATE/CAT

are taken into account for admissions into the M.Phil Programme. Students can

Kanyakumari Application Process:

NICHE Kanyakumari UG Programme Admissions:

Some of the undergraduate programmes

B.E/B.Tech, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, B.ASLP are offered at NICHE Kanyakumari. All the

courses offered here are full-time and the duration of the courses is three and

four years. Eligible students are requested to apply for the courses. The specialisations

in which courses are available are engineering with specialisation in cloud

computing and visualisation, artificial intelligence, and data science.

Kanyakumari B.E/B.Tech Admission Process:

·        Students applying for the B.E/B.Tech should

have a valid JEE Main score. 

·        Those who are having valid JEE Main scores are exempted from the

Exam conducted by NICHE Kanyakumari.

·        Shortlisting is done based on the score

acquired by the students in JEE Main/NICHE Kanyakumari University level Exam.

·        Shortlisted candidates are requested to apply

for university-level counselling.

·        NICHE Kanyakumari admissions are concluded by

document verification, seat allotment, and by payment of the fee.

NICHE Kanyakumari BSc/B.ASLP Admission

Process:

·        Eligible students should apply for admissions

by applying online and getting registered themselves.

·        Applicants should appear for the entrance

exam conducted by the college.

·        Candidates are shortlisted based on their

merit in the qualifying examination and the marks scored in the entrance

exam. 

·        Subsequently, the admissions are confirmed by

document verification, seat allotment, and by paying the fee.

NICHE Kanyakumari BBA/B.ComAdmission Process:

·        Students visiting the official website of the

college should apply online as per college norms.

·        Merits in the qualifying examinations are

taken into account for the NICHE Kanyakumari admissions.

·        Based on merit, students are allotted seats

followed by payment of fees and document verification.

NICHE Kanyakumari PG Programme Admissions:

PG admissions into the courses are available

at NICHE Kanyakumari. Some of the courses offered with different

specialisations are available for eligible students to apply for. Some of the

postgraduate courses include M.E/M. Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Phil, MA, M.Com, M.Sc.

with branches in engineering, integrated manufacturing, cyber

·        Eligible candidates with valid GATE/GRE

NICHE Kanyakumari M.A/MSc Admission Process:

·        Students should meet the eligibility for

their preferred course admission into the college.

·        Online application forms should be submitted

by the eligible candidates.

·        Candidates are shortlisted based on their

merit in the qualifying exam.

·        Admissions are confirmed into the courses for

the shortlisted candidates by paying the requisite fee and by document

verification.

NICHE Kanyakumari M.Com/MCA Admission

Process:

·        Should appear for the exam conducted by NICHE

Kanyakumari.

·        Admissions are offered to the candidates

based on their merit in the qualifying examination and the marks obtained by

them in the entrance exam.

·        Admissions into the courses are confirmed by

institute-level document verification and the payment of the fee.

NICHE Kanyakumari MBA Admission Process:

·        Students are exempted from the NICHE

Kanyakumari entrance exam if they have valid scores in SAT/MAT/CAT. 

·        Students should fill out the application form

and apply online.

·        Qualified students in the entrance exam

conducted by NICHE Kanyakumari are called for group discussion and interview.

·        Admissions are offered to the students who

are shortlisted based on merit in the qualifying examination and the entrance

exam.

·        Confirmation of admission is given to the

NICHE Kanyakumari M.Phil Admission Process:

·        Educatees should visit the website, register

and apply online.

·        Scores of UGC-NET/UGC JRF/CSIR UGC NET/SLET

or GATE/CAT are an added advantage and students are exempted from the entrance

exam conducted by the college.

·        Candidates who have cleared the entrance exam

should attend the interview.

·        Based on merit, consistent academic record,

performance in the entrance test, and interview admissions into the courses are

offered.

NICHE

Kanyakumari Ph.D. Admission Process:

·        Candidates applying for Ph.D. programme

should register themselves on the official website of the college either

offline/online.

·        UGC-NET (JRF)/UGC-CSIR (JRF)/SLET/GATE

qualified candidates and teacher fellowship holders are eligible.

·        Students without UGC-NET (JRF)/UGC-CSIR

(JRF)/SLET/GATE exam scores need to appear for the common entrance examination

(CEE) conducted by NICHE Kanyakumari followed by interview process.

·        Shortlisted candidates based on the interview

are allotted seats by the DSC of NICHE Kanyakumari.

·        Vice chancellor approves the admission of the

selected candidates who are provisionally admitted into the programme.
