Admission Process

A candidate from all over the country are eligible for admission into Management Quota B& C (NRI) seats subject to limitations as per government orders in UG Medical Course as per NMC /Dr. NTR UHS Regulations .NRI or Children /under Guardianship of NRI, who secured cut off score and more in NEET marks are eligible for admission into MBBS course under Management Quota Category (C) NRI seats.The period of training for obtaining these degrees shall be three completed years including the period of examination. Provided that in the case of students having a recognised two years postgraduate diploma course in the same subject, the period of training, including the period of examination, shall be two years.

Candidate should have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equvailent examination i.e. qualifying examination, securing not less than 50% of marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botony, Zoology)/Biochemistry, 40% marks in case of BC/SC/ST are eligible to admission into MBBS course and they have to fulfill other relevant conditions laid down by NMC.

A contiguous (single plot) with 21 acres of land is ear marked for housing the Medical College to provide eminities as per the norms of NMC such as Medical College with pre & para clinical departments, Administrative Office, Central Library, Examination Hall, Lecture Halls, Skills Lab, Laboratories, Demonstration Rooms, faculty rooms etc. and also the attached teaching hospital with 1058 teaching beds in addition to the 100+ other service beds. In the same campus, separate buildings are constructed for staff quarters, Hostels for students, Nursing and Interns. Central workshops etc. also provided. A total of 12lakhs sq.ft. buildings are now available. Visuals through photographs are attached.

An air-conditioned Central Library is available in the College building with an area of 27000 sq.ft. with 15,000+ books and 105 Journals (Indian & Foreign). Digital library is available with 40 nodes, 24hrs Reading Room and Library reading room to accommodate 300 UG students and also 100 PG students.In addition to this Sectional Library/ Department Libraryis also provided with a minimum of 100 books in each of all the 20 departments.

State of art laboratories for students practicals and also service labs as per the specifications of NMC are provided in each of the department / speciality. Visuals in static photographs are attached.Play fields are arranged for the students with Basketball, Volley ball, Indoor shuttle badminton stadium, Indoor Table tennis, Cricket, Caroms & Chess. Gym also provided separately for Boys and Girls and also to the staff of the Institution.

We established our own Rural Health Training centre at Vemulavalasa Village, Anandapuram Mandal, Visakhapantam District where there are facilities provided for the stay of Interns, Medical Officers, Paramedical Staff. The Health Centre is equipped with OP, IP with 2 wards for male and female, Operation Theatre, Pharmacy, Demonstration Room also provided. Ambulance services and separate vehicle also provided. In addition there is Urban Health Training Centre in Municipal Employees Colony, Midilapuri, Visakhapatnam as Day care centre. Further the District Medical & Health Officer granted permission to make use of the services both for Health care as well as training at the PHC/CHCs at Bheemili, Tagarapuvalasa, R –Thalavallasa and Revidi which are situated in and around area of 20kms radius of the Institution.

The college is well connected to Visakhapatnam through road transport. Public buses, autos, and private vehicles are easily available. Institutional transport may be arranged for clinical postings or academic requirements as needed.
