P.T.Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker College of Engineering & Technology is the outcome of the great Philanthropist, late Shri. P. T.Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker (1829 - 1874).  This private, self –financed co-educational Institution Institute established in academic year 2000-2001, operates under the parent organization P.T.Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker Trust, Vepery, Chennai which is governed by the Board of Trustees, appointed by the High Court.  The sole aim of this Public Charitable Trust is providing Technical Education to the poor and downtrodden people besides engaging in other social and religious activities.  P.T.Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker College of Engineering & Technology also known as PTLeeCNCET is a co-educational Institute open for all sections of society.   It is one of the well-known names in providing quality technical education to the students in and around Kanchipuram.  The Head of the Institute is Mr. Mohan Ellappan, The Principal, having a teaching experience of 22 years and Research experience of 2 years.

PTLeeCNCET is literally situated on SH-58, Kancheepuram- Arakonam -Thiruthani -Road, Post, Oovery, Veliyur, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu.  It is located in a huge 40 acre campus, 8 kms from kancheepuram and 18 kms from Arakkonam.

The Library is modern, computerized and well stocked with current books, periodicals, management videos, CDs and other learning resources. Students can also use this room for quiet self study. In addition to that P.T.Lee students have access to an exhaustive e-library permitting access to leading journals in engineering and business magazines.

The library has developed an excellent collection of books, journals and non-book materials in science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Social sciences and management. It maintains separate collections of Reference books, Bound volume of Journals technical reports thesis, videos cassettes, compacts discs and Microforms.The Department of Physical Education to instill the spirit of sportsmanship in technical students, to help them learn discipline, leadership quality, team work and also encourage them to participate in Sports & Games, in order to lead a healthy life. The Department of Physical Education is well equipped with all facilities, to enable the students to practice and participate in all the games and sports events indoor as well as outdoor.

Hostel

There are separate hostel for girls and boys. Both hostels are located in the college campus itself. The hostels provide a calm atmosphere necessary for deep study. There is copious water available trough out the day. There are play fields for cricket, volley ball and basket ball where student spent time in sports activities.

The hostel rooms are well furnished with Tube light, Night lamp, Fan, Cot, Shelf are provided. Coin telephones have been fixed in boys and girls hostels for the use of hostellers.

Food :

Mess menu will be finalized according to the convenience of the administration after receiving suggestions from students. Students are advised not to waste the food items. The Residents of the hostel are informed that the following is the mess timing to dine in the mess. Residents are not permitted to the dining hall other than dining hours.

Transport

A full fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation.

The College runs 5 buses for providing transport facility to students from various places in and arround P.T.LeeCNCET. The number of buses will be increased corresponding to the increase in the intake of students.
