PTR College of Engineering & Technology - PTRCET is a Top Class Engineering and Technology College in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The Institution was established in the year 2001 by Sasikala Memorial Educational Trust under the able guidance of its Chairman LION.Thiru R.Pandian M.A. The Chairman of the College is Dr. Pa. Thanavelan and Dr S. Baskaran is the Director. The objective to establish the College was to raise students to serve humanity by attaining high levels of academic excellence and professional competence with exemplary values and social concern. To find solutions to human problems in areas relating to water, food, health and sustainable energy through scientific, social and technological research.

PTR College of Engineering & Technology is located at Thanapandiyan Nagar, Madurai – Tirumangalam Road, Madurai, Tamil Nadu on the outskirts of Madurai City, away from the dust and pollution of the main City. It has beautiful, salubrious, green surroundings in a pleasant atmosphere on a big 26 Acres Campus. It is easily connected with the main Traffic Hubs of Madurai Junction Railway Station which is 20 Kms away from the College. Madurai Airport is at a distance of 21 Kms and Mattuthavani Bus Stand is 34 Kms from the campus.

PTR College of Engineering & Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The National Assessment and Acreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the College and has given it the highest Grade of A++. Anna University had ranked the College 286 out of 355 Colleges in Tamil Nadu in 2024. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked the College at #42 among Engineering Colleges in India. The College is ISO 9001:2008 Certified.

Admission Procedure

​Admission to undergraduate programs at P.T.R.
