About

College of Veterinary Science in Hyderabad was initially founded on August 5, 1946, as a constituent institution of Osmania University, with the aim of advancing veterinary education in the then princely state of Hyderabad. Following the creation of the state of Telangana, the Government of Telangana established a dedicated veterinary university named P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University in Hyderabad. Since November 2014, the college has been incorporated into this newly formed university. Currently, the college operates from a modern campus in Rajendranagar, housing 18 departments.

The College offers Undergraduate (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), Postgraduate (M.V.Sc.), and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programs across various disciplines.

Practical clinical training is provided at the Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex units on campus, as well as in New Boiguda city and the rural hospital at Mylardevpally, close to the campus.
