P.A. College of Engineering (PACE), Mangalore is a private engineering institution established in 2000. Commonly known as PACE, it is located in Mangalore, Karnataka. The college was founded by Dr. P. A. Ibrahim Haji under the P.A. Educational Trust. PA College of Engineering offers admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. PACE Mangalore admission is offered to B.E, M.B.A, M.Tech, M.Sc and Ph.D programmes in engineering, computer application and IT, sciences, management and business administration streams. For PACE Mangalore admission to the B.E programme, candidates have to appear for the entrance exam- KCET. As per the PACE Mangalore B.E admission criteria, candidates meeting the cutoff are required to participate in the KCET counselling process for choice filling and seat allotment.

PACE Mangalore admission to the MBA programme is done on the basis of candidates’ performance in Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT. Admission to the M.Tech programme is offered based on candidates’ scores in Karnataka PGCET or GATE. PA College of Engineering admission to M.Sc and Ph.D is done on the basis of candidates' performance in an entrance exam ‘ULRAT’ followed by interview (University Level Research Aptitude Test) conducted by VTU.

• Candidates may seek admission through KEA/CET, KRLMPCA or the management quota, as applicable.
• Participate in counselling/seat-allotment according to the admission category.
• Select PACE and the preferred programme based on rank and seat availability.
• Complete document verification and fee payment.

Eligibility

• Pass 2nd PUC/12th standard or equivalent examination.
• Physics and Mathematics must be compulsory subjects.
• One of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Electronics should be studied as the additional prescribed subject.
• A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in optional subjects is required; the applicable relaxation is available for eligible Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates.

MBA

Admission Process

PA College of Engineering, Mangalore provides scholarships to meritorious students. PACE Mangalore scholarships are given to meritorious students and the scholarship amount depends on the marks scored by candidates in core subjects in PUC/plus two exams. The College campus has been designed by renowned architects from Mumbai, M/s Upalker Sadekar. Atmost care has been taken to have every room look out into open landscaped areas. It is designed to connect the main college building to the administrative block.

The class rooms have been well designed and adequately ventilated. Well equipped computer labs are open to the students and staff. Training sessions for hardware and software are regularly conducted. All labs are network-enabled and connected to the internet through a centralized server room with a 20Mbps dedicated BSNL line. Well equipped separate workshops have been assigned for sheet metal fabrication, welding, carpentry and turning/fitting.

PACE campus spread across 60 acres of land which is located in Mangalore, a city which has established itself as the knowledge hub of South India. A beautiful environment and salubrious climate make Mangalore a dream destination for learning. Mangalore is well connected to the rest of the country by air, rail and road.The library is well-equipped with a wide range of textbooks, reference books, journals, and digital resources. It offers a quiet and resourceful space for study and research, supporting students in their academic work.

The hostel offers a variety of room-sharing options, typically accommodating 2 to 4 students per room. Facilities include common and attached bathrooms, with regular cleaning services. The annual hostel fee ranges from 24,000 to 63,000 INR, with semester fees around 30,000 INR. The food is generally perceived as good, with daily non-vegetarian options such as chicken and fish, although there have been occasional complaints of food quality issues. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available, with curfews in place.

The infrastructure is described as well-maintained but old, with additional amenities like gym facilities. The hostel is situated within the campus, offering a favorable atmosphere and a conducive environment for studies. Despite some dissatisfaction with the wardens and occasional reports of ragging, the hostel remains a popular option for students due to its affordability and overall facilities.

College bus facility is available for students who commute daily. The transport department runs 20 buses to various routes in Mangalore, Surathkal and Kasargod region and ensures safe and hassle free transport to all students and staff. The facility is made available to the students at reasonable charges depending upon routes and pickup/drop points opted by them. The students have to register for the transport facility at the time of admission and renew the same every year. Separate bus facility for girls is available for their safe and comfortable travel.
