Admission Procedure

Admission Process

Padmashri Dr. Sivanthi Aditanar College of Nursing offers 4 years B.Sc. programme at the UG level. The selection for B.Sc. is based on a valid score in CBSE 12th and Tamilnadu 12th. Additionally, candidates who seek admission to this course must ensure that they fulfil the below eligibility criteria:

Eligibility

• For B.Sc Degree course in Nursing (Basic), candidates belonging to all categories should have passed the qualifying examination (Academic stream) after a period of 12 years of study with the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Botany and Zoology.
  
• The minimum education requirement shall be passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination ( 12 years course) (or) an equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English) with minimum 45% aggregate.
  

Scholarship

A) SC/ST Scholarship:

Management and government students can avail the scholarship. Eligible candidates will get tuition fees 45,000/- and maintenance fees will be paid by the government.

B) BC/MBC/DNC Scholarship:

Students who have come from single window system (government quota) can avail this scholarship. Eligible students will get around Rs.10,000/- per year.

C) Minority Scholarship:

Minority students can apply this scholarship. They will get the scholarship on the basis of academic performance. Eligible students will get around Rs.30, 000/- per year.

D) First Graduation:

Students who have come from single window system can avail this scholarship. Eligible students will get around Rs.20, 000/- per year.

E) Puthumai Pen Scholarship:

Students who have studied in government schools from 6th to 12 standards can avail this scholarship. Eligible students will get Rs.1000/- per year.

A Library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life. Our library has adequate number of books and journals. At present 4742 books, 9 International and 12 National journals are available in our library. Our library also has good seating arrangements. Internet and reference facilities are available for staff and students. In addition to regular library services, book reviews are arranged under “Annai Therasa Reader’s Circle: Every year we celebrate the library day on april month and provide the he “Best library user award” to the students.

Our college is situated in a vast area of 18 acres, 20 cents. It is having a world class building built under the norms of Indian Nursing Council.
