PERI Institute of Technology (PERI IT), Chennai is part of the PERI Group of Educational Institutions and was established in the year 2010 by the PERI Educational and Charitable Trust with the objective of providing quality technical education. The Institute strives to provide a world-class nodal Centre of Education where Academics, Communication, Comprehension, Visualization, Practical application and Leadership skills are imparted by encouraging Research, Training and Development in Technical and non-technical areas. PERI IT lays great emphasis to imparting quality-based education to culturally and ethnically diverse student population by way of Career Education Programs which are intellectually challenging and one that reflects a high standard of performance.  It operates with the mission of providing requirement-based education in a stimulating and challenging study environment.

 
PERI IT is the brain child of The Chairman of PERI Educational and Charitable Trust (2007), Mr Saravanan Periasamy, who is also the founding President and CEO of PERI Software Solutions Inc., a leading multinational IT Consulting and Services Company based in USA.  PERI IT is administered by a governing council which comprises of representatives of the PERI Educational & Charitable Trust, representatives of the State Government, the Anna University of Technology, Chennai, the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi and eminent scholars and industrialists.  The Governing Council is responsible for planning and monitoring all its academic and administrative activities. The day-to-day management is conducted by an Academic and Administrative set up helmed by Mr. Saravanan Periasamy.

 
PERI Institute of Technology is situated on a sprawling 15 acre campus in Main Walkaway, Mannivakkam, Tambaram West, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.  The Chennai Central railway station is at a distance of about 40 Km from the institute. The airport lies just 17 Km away.  The institute can be easily reached through cabs, buses and auto rickshaws.

 
PERI Institute of Technology, Chennai is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi.  It has obtained accreditation from NAAC as well as NBA. The Institute is also ranked under the NIRF.

 
PERI IT Chennai courses include Undergraduate Engineering BE Degree programs in 5 different branches as well as BTech in 3 disaciplines of Engineering.  It also offers ME programs in 4 disciplies.  Aspiring candidates must make sure to fulfil the PERI IT eligibility criteria before applying to the institute. PERI IT Chennai admissions for BE/B.Tech are done on the basis of TNEA counselling conducted by Anna University as well as through direct admissions into the institute. For M.E programs the institute accepts TANCET / GATE scores through counselling by the university

   Interested candidates and their parents can visit our sprawling campus to get a first-hand view of our infrastructure and facilities. PERI IT has comfortable A/C classrooms, multiple, well-equipped laboratories, a vast library and most importantly, dedicated and experienced faculty. In addition to infrastructure, PERI IT arranges for campus interviews, technical symposiums and personality development courses.

   60% of students have been placed. In 2022, the highest package was INR 8.5 LPA, the average package was INR 4 LPA, and the lowest package was INR 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Zoho, Wipro, TCS, CTS, Renault, Nisson, Tech Mahindra, etc. The top roles offered are manager, head, and HR.

PERI JOB FAIR

    2020 The PERI Job Fair 2020 was conducted 29th FEBRUARY 2020. More than 17,222 Registered Candidates from all over India convened at the PERI campus to meet companies from diverse fields. 17,222 candidates competed for 2,473 jobs openings and over 2000 students were offered a job on the spot with many more shortlisted for another round of interview. The fair was open to all 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 graduates. The candidates were from varied disciplines including engineering, management, arts, science and life sciences and diploma. Entry as always was free for all candidates. The fair was inaugurated at 10.00 AM by our Chief Guest Mr. B.Santhanam, Chairman and Managing Director - SAINT -GOBAIN INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED. PERI Education’s Chairman, Mr. Saravanan Periasamy, PERI Education’s COO Mr. Sasikumar, PERI IT’s Principal, Dr. R. Palson Kennedy, PERI AS’s Principal, Dr. A. Gunasekaran and representatives of the attending companies, media and PERI’s staff and students.

    PERI Institute of Technology has established "The M. Karuppanna Gounder Scholarship Program" for its deserving students to cultivate outstanding academic excellence and leadership. The program will fund qualified students for varied expenses relevant to their education inclusive of books, food, hostel accommodation and tuition waiver. The scholarships for the year 2010 have been awarded to two students and for the year 2011 to 28 students.

   Ongoing scholarships are available to students who are interested in enrolling in the year 2018. Applications are currently accepted for the scholarship program and scholarships have already been awarded to some of the applicants. We urge you to apply at the earliest to benefit from the award. Interested applicants must demonstrate a deep interest in attaining a leadership position in their chosen field of study. Special emphasis will be given to students from diverse backgrounds who are justifiably deserving of the award and have a strong faith in the merits of the world class education provided at PERI IT.

Library

   PERI IT boasts a vast library with over 10,000 books and monographs and scores of unique digital content including a portfolio of distinguished special collections. National and International journals - both current and back volumes - are available in print and digital form.The library also provides access to hundreds of scholarly databases with the most comprehensive, specialized and up-to-date information on various technical topics. An audio-visual center with a large collection of educational videos has also been set up. Archives of digital and audio-visual content are maintained in CDs which are available on request. The library is currently in the process of digitizing unique materials and collections in order to make them available to users at all times.

  The library also offers more than 10 high-end computer workstations for online research and team projects.With thousands of visits and hundreds of unique visitors annually, the Library is one of the busiest buildings on PERI IT’s campus. The library is well served by experienced librarians who play an active role in educating faculty and students in how to make the best use of the library's resources. In addition to issuing books, they also help students and researchers identify appropriate materials in the Library’s holdings, in online sources and in other online libraries around the world

Hostel

  PERI IT has separate hostels for men and women students within the campus. Most students share a room with their peers. This provides them an opportunity to develop closer bonds of friendship and also serves to further enhance their social skills. Students also have an option of staying in single rooms with attached bathrooms, air-conditioning and other services.

   Rules have been framed, keeping in mind the local culture and traditions, with a view to guide and help students to maintain a standard of impeccable conduct. Therefore, while residents enjoy maximum freedom, it is ensured that this is always within the framework of standard guidelines and procedures. This helps to create an atmosphere of amity and peaceful co-existence.Several hostel activities are organized in an open air of camaraderie, which brings out the best in students and also forms a memorable part of their lives.

Cafeteria

   PERI IT attracts students from all over India. Hence, every effort is made to provide a wide variety of cuisines to satisfy their diverse tastes. We offer one of the most unique and innovative campus meal programs in the nation with innovative menu choices for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

  We believe in ensuring good nutrition and use only fresh, high quality ingredients. Modern kitchen equipment has been installed and food is served in a hygienic and sanitised environment.In addition, as part of its community outreach initiative, PERI IT donates leftover food from its daily meal plan to the Mannivakkam Orphanage for Handicapped Women. Since the program’s inception in 2012, PERI IT has sent, on average, between 150 and 220 trays of food each week
