Admission Procedure

Admission to PES University Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PESIMSR) for MBBS is primarily through NEET UG scores, followed by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) counselling for state quota seats (KCET route), with management quota seats available via direct application on admissions.pes.edu. You must qualify NEET, register on KEA for state seats or directly on the PESU admissions portal for management seats, and attend counselling/submit documents as per university schedule, with PESSAT now for B.Tech, not medical

Eligibility Check

• Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects.

• Minimum Marks:

  • As per NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines, generally 50% aggregate for General category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for PwD candidates.

• Age: Must be 17 years or older as of 31st December of the admission year.

Qualify NEET-UG

• National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is mandatory for all MBBS admissions in India.

• Obtain a valid NEET-UG score and All India Rank (AIR).

Counseling & Seat Allocation

• Admissions are through NEET-UG counseling, conducted in two ways:

  1. State Quota Counseling (Karnataka, 85% of seats)

  2. All India Quota Counseling (15% of seats)

• PESUIMSR participates in Karnataka state counseling and management quota seats as per NMC guidelines.
