Pioneer Trust is a pioneer in the field of education and was founded in 1997 by Sri. G. Devarajan and Smt. D. Suguna. The Founder Trustee Smt. D. Suguna is an eminent Educationist and Philanthropist. Education for knowledge and personality building has been her motive and she has been well groomed, through the years, in this field by her experienced elders like Sri.G.R.Govindarajulu and Sri.G.K.Devarajulu.

Smt. Aparna Rajkumar is the current Managing Trustee of Pioneer Trust and Secretary of Pioneer College of Arts and Science. She is an entrepreneur, sportsperson and multi-sports commentator on television media,

Rich and varied has been our Founder Trustee’s experience for the past five decades ranging from the kindergarten to Higher Secondary Education and from Polytechnic to Post Graduate Studies and Teacher Education

With the main objective of imparting modern education to the youth of Coimbatore, especially to the rural section, in and around Perianaickenpalyayam, the Trust established Pioneer College of Arts and Science (PCAS) in 1998.

The college serves the higher education needs of predominantly rural areas of Coimbatore and Nilgiris districts. Ooty is just 60 Kms away from the campus. Coimbatore, an industrial city, is known for its higher educational institutions in Arts, Science, Medicine, Engineering and Technology and Management.

Pioneer College of Arts and Science is located in a green campus in Jothipuram on the outskirts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The college has excellent facilities to serve the academic, research, extra-curricular and physical education needs of students.

Facilities of Pioneer CAS include Auditorium, Multipurpose halls, Computer Laboratories, High bandwidth fibre based Internet connectivity, Library, Canteen, Hostels, Backup power systems (Gensets, UPS systems and Solar), Transport Bus fleet, and Sports / Games facilities.

Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses
A Pass In Higher Secondary OR an Equivalent Examination Recognized By Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses
M. Sc. Computer Science – Graduates of B.Sc. (CS/IT/CT/SS/MM/CSA)/ BCA of any recognized University.
M. Com. – Graduates of B.Com./BBM, B. A. Corp. Sec. of any recognized University.

The placement cell invites various companies for recruitment and helps the students to get placement in reputed companies as well as local SME organisations. In spite of the pandemic, we are able to get offers to most of our students in 2022.

The placement cell keeps the students updated on the job opportunities available in the present world. We invite resource persons from Multi National Companies and Government sector to guide & train our students for employment in reputed companies. The cell organises job fairs in association with leading firms such as Magic Bus India Foundation.

The placement cell also makes sure the students are provided with the soft skills required to gain a foothold in the competitive industry by partnering with various skill development and consulting firms.

Placements: 95 percent of students were placed in my course. B.Sc. computer Science and IT departments are the highest average package offered in my course. Infosys, wipro are top recruiting companies in my course. 80 Percent of students got internship from my course all of the join in wipro and infosys companies.

Pioneer Trust offers student transportation services for the benefit of Pioneer College and School students. The transportation routes covered include Karamadai, Mettupalayam, Velliangadu, Sirumugai, Thadagam, Thudiyalur and Saravanampatti. Bus fees are reasonable and payable every semester.

Well maintained transport buses are equipped with speed governors, security cameras and GPS tracking devices as per government guidelines for academic transportation. Experienced drivers are deployed to operate the college / school buses.
