Ponjesly College of Engineering - PCE is a Private, Self-Financing, Christian Minority, Co-Education Institution established by the Ponjesly Charity Trust in the year 1991. Shri. Pon. Robert Singh, a young and visionary leader, skilled administrator, and industrialist, established Ponjesly Public Higher Secondary School in 1996, Ponjesly College of Engineering in 2004, Ponjesly College of Education in 2005, Ponjesly Public School (CBSE) in 2019, and Ponjesly Super Speciality Hospital in 2022. The primary goal of the Trust has been to create a wide range of educational institutions, including schools, engineering colleges, teacher education colleges, medical colleges, law colleges, and arts and science colleges, with the aim of delivering high-quality education to students at all levels. Shri. Pon Robert Singh is the Chairman of the College Governing Council and Smt Bijula Singh is the Management Trustee of the Charity Trust and Member of the College Governing Council.

Ponjesly College of Engineering is located in Parvathipuram, Alamparai Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. While the total Campus size is a gigantic 350 Acres, the constructed are on which the College stands is 13.77 Acres. It is a wonderful campus with lot of greenery including trees and plants. The Nagercoil Junction Railway Station is 5 Kms from the College, while Tiruvananthapuram Airport is 90 Kms away.

Ponjesley College of Engineering is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the College. The College is ranked No.1 in Kanyakumari District by achieving Anna University Ranks in UG.

Ponjesley College of Engineering has a large spread of Academic Programs to choose from. The current options are, B.E (6) with authorised intake of 360 Students per year, B.Tech (2) with authorised intake of 180, M.E (6) with authorised intake of 108, MBA with 7 specialisations and an intake of 120 students per year. There are also 2 Ph.D options. As of last data, 18 Researchers have completed the Ph.D while 22 are at various stages of completion.

The campus has 3 Cafeterias and Mess, Gym, Hostels for Men and Women Students, Central Library, Reprographic Centre, Sports Facilities, Transportation, 6 Windmills for Academic purpose from which the College draws 1/4 Electricity generated to be used within the campus, Health Centre, City Union Bank ATM, a 400 Seater Auditorium with a 44 Tonne A/c Chilling Unit, a 5 Floor Guest House with self-contained multiple rooms. For the disabled there are Ramps & Lifts, Disabled Washrooms and Sign Boards. Our campus offers 3 cafeteria and mess facility to the students and staff, which offers all meals and snacks. Separate canteen facility for both boys and girls are provided by the campus by giving utmost importance to cleanliness and hygiene without any compromise in taste and quality. Regular monitoring and inspection to the cafeterias is ensured by the institution.Our institution offers gym facility with modern fitness equipments for students. Exercise is inevitable for good physical and mental health. Expending energy in exercise can actually give students the boost they need to be more proficient in their studies. Fitness plays a major role in brain health and staying active.

A college library is a dedicated space within a college or university campus that serves as a hub of knowledge and information. It houses a vast collection of books, journals, periodicals, and other resources carefully curated to support the academic pursuits of students and faculty. At present central library is housed in a multi storied building situated in the midst of all departments and hostels and is easily accessible to all. For the smooth functioning of the library, it has been divided into different sections and readers have been allowed open access to the library holdings. Students and researchers can access a range of physical and digital resources, including books, e-books, scholarly databases, and multimedia materials.

Our college has an excellent indoor game facility. We have a swimming pool attached to it. Our indoor games port has facilities for table tennis and ball badminton. This encourages our students to indulge in various sports activities to become physically fit and mentally relaxed.

Hostel

Ponjesly College of Engineering provides hostel facilities for the residential convenience of the students. There are now two separate hostels for boys and girls. PJCE hostel provides a good and studious environment for those who want to study with full determination. They have much time to explore the boundaries of education and to enjoy hostel life as well which depends upon time management, Planning and determination.

Transport

Ponjesly College of Engineering operates 22 buses for the convenience of students and staff coming from in and around Kanyakumari. This transport facility is also used for various educational purposes like field trips, industrial visits and recruitments. We provide the bus facility for students at minimum operational cost. Our aim is to provide this bus facility for the safety of students coming from various places. Also we follow all the safety and security regulations & norms applied by government and Motor Vehicles Department ( R.T.O.)
