About US
The prime objective of Poornaprajna Institute of Management is to provide advanced professional education and skill in Management Studies. Our sanctioned intake for two years MBA programme is 60 students.

Apart from five hours of teaching hours meant for covering prescribed syllabus of Mangalore University, two hours of additional classes are engaged everyday from Monday to Friday to impart essential skills like Computer Skill, Communication Skill and a variety of Management Skills such as Group Discussion, Role Play, Experiential Learning, Word Fusion, Product Launch, Art of Creativity, Thematic Apperception and all other relevant and appropriate managerial skills of contemporary nature. Every month a “Two-hour Special Guest Lecture Session” is arranged from eminent personalities from academia and industry. At the end of the second semester, the students have a compulsory Industrial Training of one-month duration. All Students of the Institute study dual specialization papers in their third and fourth semesters in addition to the papers prescribed by the University.

A fortnightly Newsletter, “Arthaprajna” is being regularly e-mailed to all the present and old Students of the Institute. This Newsletter has created an opportunity for all the students for disseminating their views and ideas in different facets of knowledge. Further, the Certificate Courses with the necessary training, in “Communication English”, “Computer Applications” and “Yoga for Stress Management” are offered to the Students of the Institute as add-on courses.

The MBA students of all the earlier batches have secured excellent results and also Rank/Gold Medal in every batch without any exception. In the University Examinations held in May, 2010, our students brought laurels to the Institute by securing all the ranks awarded by Mangalore University for MBA students. With the First Rank and the Gold Medal in the University Examination held in May 2011, the MBA Students of our Institute recorded “Hattrick Achievement” by securing First Rank in the three consecutive years. In the examinations held in May, 2013 our MBA students secured three ranks our of six ranks (i.e., the 1st, 4th and 5th ) and all the three awards (i.e. the two Gold Medals and the Vysys Bank Cash Award) given by Mangalore University for MBA Students.

Scholarships
We view education not only as a gateway to personal development, but also a pathway for improving society. In this endeavour Poornaprajna Institute of Management offers a number of merit scholarships. Some of these are given below:

Endowment scholarships

Madurai Advocate S. Chellam Endowment Award: This award was institutionalised in the year 2016 in the name of Sri S. Chellam advocate from Chennai.
The norms for identifying the student for this award are as follows:

Shall be a student of our college studying in first year MBA (best all-rounder among all students in first year MBA)
Shall be good at studies
Shall be good in co-curricular and extracurricular activities
Shall be selected by a committee consisting of the principal and two senior members of faculty of our institution.
Nirupama Bhardwaj Endowment Award: This award was institutionalised in the year 2009 in the name of Ms. B Nirupama Bhardwaj , D/O B Vishwesha Bharadwaj, Bharadwaj Ashram, Sri Sai nilaya of sullya taluq in Dakshina Kannada.This is, in particular is is given to a student of II year MBA who scores highest marks in the first and second semester examinations.


Sri U S Nayak Memorial Endowment Scholarship: This was institutionalised in the year by Sri P Rabindra Nayak, “Gokula” R T Road, Kunjibettu Udupi. The norms for identifying the student eligible for this scholarship are as follows:
Shall be a student of our college studying in final year MBA
Shall be good at studies
Shall be good in co-curricular and extracurricular activities
Shall be selected by a committee consisting of the principal and two senior members of faculty of our institution.


H.H. Vibudesha Theertha Swamiji Scholarship: A cash scholarship to student who scores highest in the aggregate marks in the first and second semester MBA examinations is given in the name of the founder of Amar Mutt Education Council and Poornaprajna group of institutions his holiness Sri Sri Vibudesha Theertha Swamiji in the year 2011.
Sri Vishwapriya Theertha swaimiji special rank prize: The rank holders in the MBA program are facilitated by the special rank award which is institutionalised in the name of the present chairman of the Udupi Sri Admar Mutt Education Council Sri Sri Vishwa priya Theertha Swamiji. In the year 2011.
Government Freeship: Apart from the above, PIM facilitates many Government Scholarship and Freeships to selected students.
