The Poornima College of Engineering was established in the year 2000 and is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University and approved by AICTE. The College is accredited by NBA. Poornima College of Engineering (PCE) is one of the three cluster colleges established by Shanti Education Society. The college was set up in 2000 and is affiliated to  Rajasthan Technical
University(RTU).

A plethora of activities and on-field experiences are offered to students who take admission to PCE . Some of them include a visit to 10 large scale industries, seminars conducted every year and interactive sessions with people actively working in the industry.

Admissions are offered in B.Tech and M.Tech courses. The admission is both entrance and merit-based. Students have to apply for counseling for both B.Tech and M.tech admissions.

B.Tech admissions require students to pass 10+2 in the Science stream. They are also required to qualify the JEE MAIN exam to be eligible for admissions. Selections are based upon the decision of REAP counseling. Thus, applications are also accepted through REAP.

To get admission in M.Tech program applicants must have a relevant B.E/B.Tech degree and qualify GATE  Applications are accepted through RTU CAM, and admissions are also decided by the same through counseling.

Around 453 students were offered placements belonging to the 2018-19 batch. Almost 89% of the students got admission on-campus. The highest package offered has gone up to 9 LPA. The CSE and IT department saw a maximum number of its students getting placement- 37%.

The following section briefly talks about the prerequisites and requirements for admission to B.Tech program. 

B.Tech Eligibility

The following criteria must be taken care of while applying for admission to the B.Tech program:

• Passed 10+2 with Science stream from CBSE or Rajasthan Board.
• Candidates must secure 45% in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

REAP Application Process

The process of registering on REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) the students must follow the below-given steps:

• 
  
• Payment of INR 700 & INR 705 at an e-mitra kiosk center is accepted. 
• The kiosk will then generate a 12 or 16-digit token number for the candidate.
• This token number can be used at the e-Mitra portal for accessing the application. 
• Candidates are advised to save a copy of the fee payment receipt.

Documents Required:

• Scanned image of the photograph in jpg format.
• Scanned image of the signature in jpg format
• Photocopy of mark sheets of 10+2.
• Photocopy of mark sheet of JEE Main scorecard.
• Photocopy of the certificate if belonging to a reserved category.
• Receipt issued by e-Mitra kiosk having the Token Number/Transaction ID of payment made through Bill desk or Challan number.

Note: There are 2-3 rounds of counseling for admission:

• Round I of counseling is for candidates not belonging to Rajasthan, Ex-servicemen and PwD. 
• Round II of counseling is for the candidates belonging to Rajasthan. 
• If seats still remain vacant, then a special round of counseling would be conducted. 

How to Apply for JEE Main?

• Visit the official website of JEE MAIN  and click on “Fill Online Application Form”.
• Register by giving your personal details, to generate a user id and password.
• The application number will be generated after submitting the details for registration.
• The form requires personal details, address, and mobile number.
• You can set your security question and password to access the application for the future.
• Submit the application form by logging in with the same user id and password that you had set.

The applicants should be GATE qualified and must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria. 

There are other prerequisites, which are required for admission to the program. They are as follows:

Students can get admission to the M.Tech program if they have a relevant degree in B.E/B.Tech with 55% aggregate.

To register for M.Tech admissions, students must follow the step-wise-step process for admission to PCE:

• Students can register through RTU for the counseling.
• A registration fee of INR 3,000 (INR 1,500 for reserved category) is required for submitting the application.
• Students who areGATE qualified or those who are not, both must fill the form.
• The application will be considered complete with necessary documents upload, choice filling and locking.
• Upon selection, the candidates will have to appear with all relevant documents and the application form to complete the admission process.

How to Apply for GATE?

The applications are accepted through the official website of GOAPS. Where the applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.

• Scanned photograph and signature 
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).

• Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
• Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
• Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
• Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
• Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

SCHEME 1: MERIT BASED SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

·         Applicant availing some kind of financial assistance or scholarship from Government or perhaps Semi Government or perhaps some other private organization for academic assistance is not entitled for Poornima Faculty Scholarship.

·         Any violation of above said term is going to result in stopping of Poornima Faculty scholarship and recovery of already granted scholarship.

·         Applicant has to pay the annual courses fee after the deduction of scholarship amount at the time of admission.

·         Above said scholarship is designed for the first year (both semester) only.

·         Scholarship is going to be further continued annually on the basis of CGPA awarded in previous academic year, calculated on theory papers only.

·         A pupil who’s not entitled for scholarship in year that is first isn’t eligible for scholarship in years that are more.

·         A pupil that fails to continue scholarship once on the basis of CGPA or perhaps gets backlog in any semester won’t be entitled for continuing scholarship any further.

·         Eligibility for Scholarships:

·         All UG courses except B.Voc.: Applicant must have passed class 12th Examination in either 2017 or perhaps 2018 in a single attempt.

·         B. Voc.: Applicant must have passed class 12th Examination in either 2016 or perhaps 2017 or perhaps 2018 in a single attempt.

·         PG courses (M.SC. and MBA): Applicant must have passed relevant UG course/ program in either 2017 or perhaps 2018.

·         PG courses (M. Des.): Applicant must have passed relevant UG course/ program in either 2017 or perhaps 2018.

·         PG courses (M. Tech.): Applicant must have passed relevant UG course/ program after 2011 only.

SCHEME 2: GAYATRI GIRLS SCHOLARSHIP (GG SCHOLARSHIP)

Poornima Faculty provides scholarship to the first 3 female candidates per school, who wish to pursue the career of theirs in the Faculty. The goal of this scholarship is usually to offer scholarships to the meritorious Girl Pupils, who have passed their eligibility examination with sixty % or perhaps more marks. The scheme is actually aimed to recognize the efforts of the parents too along with promoting education among females and giving encouragement to meritorious pupils. This particular scholarship will be served on first come first basis.

·         Eligibility for Scholarships:

SCHEME 3: SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP (SS)

It’s a matter of immense pleasure that keeping this in view, Poornima Faculty is actually introducing talent scholarship. Certificates of only 2017-18 & 2018-19 Year will be considered.

SCHEME 4: TRIBUTE TO MARTYRS SCHOLARSHIP (TTM SCHOLARSHIP)

Poornima University provides scholarship as Tribute to Martyrs. This Scholarship scheme is being implemented to encourage and financially assist the wards of deceased personnel of Police & Defence to pursue their education in the desired programs.

Eligibility Criteria:

·         Must be a dependent ward of deceased Police/ Defence Personnel.

·         Have passed the eligibility examination from a recognised university or Board of Secondary Education

·         The applicant should have obtained atleast 60% marks or above in the minimum qualification.

·         This scholarship will be consistent during the entire duration of the program.

SCHEME 5: SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR TRANSGENDER STUDENTS (TSG SCHOLARSHIP)

Poornima University, Jaipur provides scholarship to the transgender students who are interesting in taking admission in the University. This is an effort to bring marginalized Transgender community to the mainstream of society. The student must be the domicile of India. The objective of the scholarship is to provide financial help to transgender students to enable them to complete their education.

Eligibility Criteria:

·         Be a permanent resident of India

·         Belong to transgender category

·         Have passed the eligibility examination from a recognised university or Board of Secondary Education

·         Not be availing any other scholarship

·         Self-declaration from the transgender students

Poornima University, Jaipur is sanctioning the Scholarship, every year, to all eligible students, which inter-alia aims to: (i) Create capacities among all sections of society to equitably gain from it so as to make them willing partners and stakeholders. (ii) Transform into an economy that creates, disseminates, and uses knowledge to drive growth and development.

·         Applicant availing some kind of financial assistance or scholarship from Government or perhaps Semi Government or perhaps some other private organization for academic assistance is not entitled for Poornima Scholarship.

·         Any violation of above said term is going to result in stopping of Poornima scholarship and recovery of already granted scholarship.

Transport Facilities

Transportation plays a very important role in a student life, The Buses of Poornima University Offers more than 20 routes for students and staff members. Transportation is really one such facility which every student has to use every day, be it short distance or long distance.

Safety and Security are always given prime importance, experienced drivers operate the buses. These buses are well coordinated and regular in service which provide pick up and drop facility within a radial distance of 50 Kms.

Rules & Regulations:

1.      The transport facility will be available on the basis of academic year.

2.      The transport facility cannot be cancelled in between and the fee once paid will not be refunded.

3.      50 % rebate in transport fees will be applicable for students of programs: BBA / B.Com / BVA/ BA / B.Sc (PCM & ECC) for session 2023-24 and would be dropped only at single route to avail the Public transport for the students going at 12.30 PM

4.      If you wish to avail the transport facility provided by the Institution, submit the complete year fee along with duly filled transport form.

5.      No fee will be accepted as Cash or Cheque or DD. The fee will be accepted only via HDFC online fee portal:- fee.poornima.edu.in

6.      The management will not entertain any request after the routes are fixed and/ or classes have begun (whichever is earlier)
