PPG Institute of Technology (PPGIT) is one of the best Engineering Colleges in Coimbatore. It was established under the aegis of the renowned P. Perchi Gounder Memorial Education and Charitable Trust in the year 2008. The institution is the brainchild of Dr L.P.Thangavelu, M.S, aa well known Laproscopic Surgeon by profession and Chairman of PPG Group of Institutions, Coimbatore, who envisioned imparting education par excellence to students. Mrs Shanthi Thangavelu is the Correspondent and Mr Akshay Thangavel is the Vice Chairman.

PPGIT stands on a huge 10 Acre Campus in an erudite atmosphere, ideal for academics on Rathnagiri Road, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore Junction Railway Station and Coimbatore Gandhipuram Bus Stand are approximately 15 and 13 Kms respectively from the College. Coimbatore International Airport is 10 Kms away.

Scholarship

ST/ST SCHOLARSHIP – GOVERNMENT OF INDIA/TAMIL NADU

• Those candidates who are Indian citizens and who have passed School leaving examination, viz. Higher Secondary/ Indian School Certificate, etc. are eligible for this scholarship.
  
• The income of the parent should not exceed Rs 2,50,000 per annum.
  
• The scholarship is renewable from year to year within the stages of education.
  
• The candidate should not be in receipt of another scholarship/assistance from other sources.

Direct town bus No. 68 from Ukkadam to Kurumbapalayam runs via the College. In addition town buses from Gandhipuram to Annur which stop at the stage Coffee kadai bus stop next to Rathinagiri Temple can also be availed.
