Established in 2009, Prasanna College of Engineering and Technology is a premier self-financed private Institute located in Karnataka which operates under the Prasanna Education Trust. The college is a co-educational Institute which is open to all sections of the community. The director of the institute is Chandra Rao Madane, who has 28 years of teaching experience and 6 years of research experience.

The PCET campus is grounded in 15 acres of land situated close to the beautiful town of Dharmasthala in Dakshina Karnataka which is lush with greenery and peaceful ambience, aptly suited for an educational backdrop. The Campus is located About 0.03 km from Belthangady Bus station in Laila, Ujire, Belthangady Kannada, Karnataka is about 60km from Mangalore Railway Station, 60km from Mangalore Port, and about 55km from Mangalore Airport, making it easily commutable.

Prasanna College of Engineering and Technology is Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgavi and Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The college offers courses like B.Tech in Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Civil and Computer Science & Engineering among UG programs and PG program MBA. The admission for these courses is based on the marks scored in KCET/PGCET/KMAT exams conducted at the state level.

The PCET Campus is divided into various functional zones like Main College building, Administrative block, Hostels and Sports facilities. In addition to Lecture Theaters, Tutorial rooms and Drawing halls, the college has an Auditorium, Library, Computer Center, Reading rooms, Workshops, Well equipped Laboratories, Transport facilities, high speed Internet, Cafeteria, Hospital, ETC. The PCET Placement Cell works hard to maintain the balance between the industry and institution. Admission Process

The candidate shall have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) in three subjects of Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects namely, Chemistry, Biology, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Electronics and shall have completed PUC, 10 + 2, or its equivalent

Fee Waiver Scheme

The State Government has started a fee waiver scheme to help the economically poor but meritorious students. Further information regarding this can be obtained from the office of the Registrar.

Education Loans

Getting Education is no longer an insurmountable problem these days. Education loans are available to the needy and deserving students from the Nationalized Banks at reasonable rates of interest. Theses loans are repayable after the completion of the degree/diploma.

Financial Help

It is a motto with the management of our Group, “Poverty would not be allowed to stand in the way of the completion of the education of meritorious students. Such students are generously helped. Academically intelligent and poor students to acquire higher education by giving them financial help in the form of tuition fee waiver. Relaxation in tuition fee is also given to merit position holders in the qualifying examinations/competitive examinations and position holders in the University examinations. The parents of meritorious students are also honoured along with the students in the annual functions of the Colleges.
