Prathyusha Engineering College, Chennai popularly known as PEC – is a self-financed Telugu Minority Institution managed by Prathyusha Educational Trust, Chennai.  The college was established in the year 2001, to promote engineering education with quality technical knowledge to all the students hailing from not only in and around Chennai, but from various districts in Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states.  This elysium of education, is the vision of the Founder Chairman Shri.P.Raja Rao, the well-known Industrialist and Philanthropist, to bring world-class education into this sylvan campus. In 2012, the institution expanded its research capabilities by opening a new research and development center.

The PEC campus, spread across a vast area of 60 acres of lush green environment, is located in Aranvayal Kuppam Village, Aranvayal Post, Tiruvallur Taluk, Poonaamallee-Tiruvallur Road, Tamil Nadu, about 30 kms from Chennai Central Railway Station.  Aranvoyal kuppam and is flanked by Thirumazhi, the new satellite township.

Prathyusha Engineering College, Chennai is affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE. The courses offered by the College are NBA accredited & Re-accredited programs. The college is a recipient of ISO certification.  PEC is Ranked 5th in 2017-18 University Results among 497 Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu.  The college was conferred with autonomous status from the year 2023-2024.  NAAC has accredited PEC with an ‘A’ grade.

Prathyusha Engineering College offers engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with B.E. (6 Programs), B.Tech (4 Programs), M.E. (5 Programs), M.Tech in Bio Technology and MBA, with an annual intake of over 630 students and 2 Research programs including M.S  (By Research)/Ph.D – CSE and M.S (By Research)/Ph.D – ECE.  There are over 2,500 students in the campus, with nearly 1/3 of them women.  There are 8 Centres of Excellence.

FREE EDUCATION is provided for wards of the staff members and for the school students who secure more than 90% cut-off in +2 with a family income of Rupees one lakh per annum.

Admission For Prathyusha Engineering college:

Prathyusha Engineering College, Thiruvallur was founded by Shri P. Raja Rao in the year 2001 with an aim to promote engineering education along with quality technical knowledge. PEC offers Engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Admissions to B.E program are done on the basis of merit of the qualifying exam and Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counselling.
For Lateral Entry admissions, candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
All post-graduation admissions are conducted through Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) or Consortium Examination.
The minimum eligibility requirement for B.E is 10+2 in Science stream and for PG programs, a relevant degree from a recognized university is required.
The institute is spread over a 450 acre eco-friendly campus and is affiliated to Anna University. It was ranked at 5th place amongst the 497 engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu in the year 2017-18. It was accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC and all its programmes are accredited by NBA.
