Priyadarshini Engineering College is located in 31 acres of land in the rural area of Chettiyappanur, Vaniyambadi, Kalendira, Vellore Dist.,Tamil Nadu.

The college has been approved by AICTE - All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and permanently affiliated to Anna University, Chennai

Priyadarshini Engineering College offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, fostering a conducive environment for academic excellence and research. These programs are offered in Full Time mode. PEC offers a wide range of courses like B.E. / B.Tech, MBA/PGDM, MCA, M.E./M.Tech with the stream of Engineering, Business & Management Studies, IT & Software. Over the period, the College has gained expertize through its trained and experienced faculty in almost all the fields of Engineering, viz. Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Communications, Power, etc. Courses offered by institute are recognized by approving bodies like AICTE.  Priyadarshini Engineering College offered courses for 666 seats.  The accepted entrance exams for UG is TNEA and for PG it is TANCET / CEETA.

Admission to Priyadarshini Engineering College, Vellore is conducted according to the applicable regulations of Anna University, the Government of Tamil Nadu, and the Directorate of Technical Education. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate B.E./B.Tech programmes generally participate in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process. Applicants must complete the prescribed application, provide academic details and required certificates, and complete document verification. Seats are allotted based on qualifying-examination merit, applicable reservation rules, counselling preferences, and seat availability. After allotment, candidates must report to the college, complete certificate verification, pay the prescribed fees, and finish university registration and admission formalities. Postgraduate admissions follow the applicable university and Government of Tamil Nadu procedures.

Admission Process

• Candidates must complete the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) application process.

• Submit academic details and the required certificates through the prescribed application portal.

• Complete the required certificate/document verification process.

• Participate in TNEA counselling and select R.M. Engineering College, Kanchipuram and the preferred engineering branch.

• Seat allotment is based on qualifying-examination merit, reservation rules, preferences, and seat availability.

• After allotment, report to the college and complete document verification.

• Pay the prescribed fees and complete university admission and registration formalities.

• Attend the orientation programme and commence the academic session.

Eligibility

• Must have passed 10+2/Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognized board.

• Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

• Must satisfy the minimum marks and subject requirements prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the concerned affiliating university.

• Admission is generally through TNEA counselling based on qualifying-examination merit.

• Must meet applicable entrance examination and counselling requirements, wherever prescribed.

• Admission is subject to the prevailing university and Government of Tamil Nadu regulations.

Eligible students can apply for government and institutional scholarship schemes according to the prevailing rules. Financial assistance may be available through schemes for SC/ST, BC/MBC, minority communities, economically weaker students, merit categories, first-generation graduates, and other eligible groups. Students receive guidance regarding applications, documentation, verification, and renewal procedures. Central Library in an area of 558 sq.m, the Library has 49,753 Volume of Books with 12,595 Titles. The Library subscribes 50 national and 57 International Journals. 10 IEEE Journals, S&H 06 Journals, 31 magazines and 08 Newspapers. It contains 4557 back volumes of journals and 1282 Project CDs and Book CDs 660 . Books are classified and arranged according to the Universaly Decimal Classification (UDC ) Scheme.        The library has an Institutional Membership with the DELNET, NDL and NPTEL access providing the Staff, Students and Research Scholars for the benefit resource sharing in the field of Science and technology.The Library Subscribed E –resources are available as per AICTE MANDATORY subscribing IEEE, ASME.In addition to this, departments have their own departmental library.

Physical education is a part of general education and it is an education to prepare the student to be healthy and robust. Generally we imagine that physical education is meant only for developing the person's physique i.e. perfect shape of the body.

Boys Hostel

The college has comprehensive hostel facilities for the students. Exclusively, three blocks are provided for men, accommodating more than 750 students.The Boys' Hostel has 50 rooms spread over three floors and accommodates about students of second year, third and final year of B.E/ B.TECH (UG) and PG.The Boys' Hostel-I has 50 rooms spread over three floors and accommodates about 250 students of first year.The boys hostel has separate library, reading room, shuttle courts and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have STD facility.

Girls Hostel

The college has separate hostel for women. Exclusively, three blocks for women, in all accommodating more than 400 students are provided. The Girls' Hostel-I has 36 rooms and accommodates 120 students. The Girls Hostel-II has about 20 rooms and accommodates 120 students. A separate dining hall covering 200 sq.m, to accommodate 100 students at a time, is also available in this block.Table tennis and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have STD facility.

Transportation facilities provide convenient connectivity between the campus and nearby towns and villages. College buses support daily commuting and may also be used for industrial visits, educational tours, internships, field activities, workshops, and other off-campus academic programmes. This facility is particularly useful for students travelling from surrounding areas of Vellore and Tirupattur.
