Proudhadeveraya Institute of Technology, (PDIT) a prestigious private un-aided Institution which was established in the year 1997.  It is managed by the Veerasaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha, a Registered Education Body started in 1916.  The Institution was started with the aim to teach students to LEARN, not just STUDY. Hence, it strives to travel beyond the boundaries of mere books.  PDIT wishes to provide its students a holistic learning experience for life apart from providing a sound education,

 
PDIT is situated in a sprawling 20 acres of land adjacent to T.B. Dam and very near to Hampi, the famous world heritage historical place.  The college campus which located in the Sha Bhavarlal Babulal Nahar Campus, TB Dam Road, Hosapete, Karnataka, is homed in a beautiful spacious building with calm, decent and serene environment and is congenial for the pursuit of knowledge. 

 
PDIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi

 
Proudhadeveraya Institute of Technology presently offers BE Degree in 5 Engineering courses and PG courses in M.Tech (Digital Electronics & Communication) and MBA Degree programs.  For admissions the eligibility is based on the Entrance Exam scores in UG CET / COMED-K / Management.  The college is also a Research Centre for 6 disciplines in Engineering.

 
The Institution has well furnished and spacious Lecture halls, Laboratories, Workshops, most modernized and sophisticated Computer Labs, Library, Hostel, Canteen, Sports, Transport, Bank, Administrative blocks NSS, Placements & Training Cell and Scholarships.

Placements: Around 75% of students get placed in computer science. The highest salary package is 7 LPA. 4 LPA is the average salary package, and 2 LPA is the lowest salary package. Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, TCS, etc., offer placements.
