PSG Institute of Architecture and Planning (PSGIAP) was established in the year 2021 by the PSG & Sons Charities Trust under the Leadership & Initiative of the Four Sons of P.S. Govindaswamy Naidu. The Brothers were Venkataswamy Naidu, Rangaswamy Naidu, Ganga Naidu, and Narayanaswamy Naidu. The rationale to establish PSGIAP was to achieve excellence in Architectural education, and nurture architects with ingenuity, intelligence, and integrity to face global challenges to serve industry and society.
PSGIAP has a huge Campus of 40 Acres and is situated on the Salem Highway, Avinashi Rd, Neelambur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The Campus is a 4-star rated Green Campus certified by Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA), which is a rating system that assesses a building's environmental performance. The PSGIAP Campus has a Carpet Area of about 10 Lakh Square Feet. Distance from the College to Coimbatore Airport is 5 Kms, to Coimbatore Railway Station 21 Kms and to Main Bus Stand 20 Kms, and are easily accessible.

PSGIAP is approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA) & All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is . affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.
PSGIAP has a Five-Year (10-Semester) course leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.), which is recognized by the Council of Architecture. Eligibility for B.Arch Program is a Pass in 10+2 from a recognised Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. A Pass in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) too is mandatory. The School has Scholarships for deserving Students based on Merit and Caste / Economic Status.

PSGIAP has truly State of the Art Infrastructure and Facilities which include spacious Classrooms, Library, Sports Facilities, Hostels, Medical Center, Wellness Center, Faculty Quarters within the Campus. PSG iTech Launchpad includes the Innozone and Startup zone, entities for promoting and nurturing Innovation, facilitate Pre-incubation and create Entrepreneurship awareness and enhance entrepreneurial culture. Other student-centric amenities include Green Campus Initiatives including Green Cover, Building Design, Waste Management, Renewable Energy, Reduction of Carbon Emissions and Carbon Footprint and Energy & Water Conservation. The College also has a host of Clubs and Extra-curricular Activities like NSS, NCC, YRC, RRC, ECO Club, Yoga & Meditation Club, iTech Music Club, Ainthinai Tamil Mandram.
