Admission Procedure

• Admissions to first year B.Tech & lateral entry into B.Tech are done through CENTAC (Centralised Admission Committee, Puducherry) and JoSSA/CSAB (for those using JEE Main). 
• You’ll need to: Appear for the relevant exam (e.g. JEE Main if applying via JoSSA). Register with CENTAC or via JoSSA depending on quota/seat type. 
• Fill in choices/preferences for colleges & branches. Wait for “seat allotment” notification. If allotted a seat, report to PTU with your allotment letter + required certificates & pay admission fee. 
• Fees & hostel charges are also specified, and vary depending on category, quota, etc. 

PG (Postgraduate) Admission Process (M.Tech / MBA / MCA / M.Sc etc.)

• Managed via PGAC-2025 (Post Graduate Admission Committee), PTU. 
• Basic steps: Online Application on PGAC website. Fill the form, pay the application fee, upload required documents. 
• Submit hard-copy of the application + self-attested copies of marksheets etc. to PGAC office.
• Merit list is published separately for each programme. 
• Counselling rounds happen: you attend counselling, choose specialisations, confirm your seat.
• Eligibility: You should have passed the relevant undergraduate degree, must have no arrears, and CGPA / marks considered. 
• For M.Tech: GATE qualified candidates get preference. 
• Non-GATE candidates are also eligible. Seat allotment among non-GATE depends on merit and rules.
