R M D Engineering College:

The infrastructure includes full-fledged permanent Buildings and the maintenance is carried out by skilled and qualified team. Maintenance wing is headed by 3 site engineers, with 17 Assistant Engineers, Supervisors and workmen in all. Their responsibilities include periodical maintenance of the buildings, apart from planning and construction of new buildings or extensions.All the individual departments have adequate number of LCD projectors and OHPs. They are under regular service contracts and periodical inspection is carried out by the suppliers.

• We have a clinic with the full time doctor and a dispensary with two beds.
  
• We also have two ambulance vans available for service.
  
• A medical shop is kept open till 9.30 p.m.
  
• A clinic, with beds along with on call Doctor facility for 24 Hours to take care of the health requirements of the hostel students, is also available.
  

The college has a landscape consultant, garden supervisors and a large number of gardeners with a comprehensive set of garden equipments. The entire campus has landscaping with green grass, ornamental plants and shady trees making the campus very green and beautiful. The college presents an attractive and pleasant look with its green and pollution-free ambience which is conducive to good teaching – learning ambience.The primary aim of the Department throughout has been to offer various opportunities to all students’ desirous of practicing sports seriously. Encourage the talented ones to make sincere effort to achieve the higher distinction in sports at Zone, Inter Zone, All India Inter University, TIES, Invitational Tournaments, State, and National/International levels by providing them the best available inputs in terms of equipment, coaching, training, nutrition, kitting, Funding ,Rewards with cash Prize etc.

Transport For R M D Engineering College :

The College has a fleet of 80 buses, 15 vans and cars to transport students and staff from Chennai to college and back. These buses operate along 8 routes starting from different points approximately between 6.30 and 6.45 a.m. The starting points are.
