R.M.D Engineering College (RMDEC)

R.M.D. Engineering College, an Autonomous Engineering College in Tamil Nadu, was established in the year 2001 by Sri Swaminatha Naidu Educational Trust.  Dr Ravilla.S. Munirathinam, The Founder-Chairman of the Trust, is renowned for his philanthropic attitude and service.

The R.M.D Engineering College is a 26-acre Green Campus with river, located about 35 km from Chennai on NH-5 on the Chennai-Nellore-Kolkata Highway in RSM Nagar, Kavaraipettai, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District. The College is about a kilometer from Kavaraipettai railway station and about 60 kilometers from Chennai International Airport on the Chennai-Srikakulam Highway north of Chennai.

 
RMDEC is Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and Approved by AICTE, New Delhi.  It is Accreditied by NAAC and All the eligible UG programs are accredited by NBA, New Delhi.  NIRF It has Rank Band 201-300 in Engineering Category in NIRF India Ranking 2024.  The college is ranked in the 5th Position across the Country by MHRD Govt. of India - Swachhta Ranking.

 
R.M.D College is a Co-Educational Institution specializing in Engineering and Technology plus specialized post-graduate programs in Computer Applications, Business Administration and Computer Science & Engineering.  The college, opened in 2001 with six departments: IT, CSE, EEE, ECE, MBA and MCA with about 240 students in Kavaripettai Next to RMK College Campus which is also a sister Institute under RMK Group of institution.  Today the college offers Engineering course like BE (CSE) and BE (ECE), B.Tech (AIML), B.Tech (CS & BS) and B.Tech (IT).  It also offers MCA, MBA and Ph.D Programs in CSE, ECE, IT, Physics and Chemistry.

Admission For R M D Engineering College:

RMD Engineering College (RMDEC) is a renowned engineering institute located at Kavaraipettai, 35km from Chennai. Affiliated to Anna University, RMD Engineering College (RMDEC) currently offers five UG programs in Engineering and Technology, a PG program inEngineeringalong with MBA and MCA course.

The applicant must be a resident of Tamil Nadu state.
BE / B.Tech candidates need to qualify 10+2 in science stream with PCM as compulsory subjects.
ME candidates should possess agraduate degree in the relevant or allied discipline.
BE / B.Tech candidates are selected through TNEA counselling.
Candidates applying for ME program are selected through counselling on the basis of GATE score.
ME candidates without a valid GATE score are required to take the TANCET exam.
MBA and MCA candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in TANCET.
Candidates applying for B.Tech program are required to apply through TNEA.
ME candidates can apply with their GATE score.
If a valid GATE score is not available, TANCET candidates are given preference unless the candidate is applying through management quota.
