Admission Process

• Candidates must complete the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) application process.

• Submit academic details and the required certificates through the prescribed application portal.

• Complete the required certificate/document verification process.

• Participate in TNEA counselling and select and the preferred engineering branch.

• Seat allotment is based on qualifying-examination merit, reservation rules, preferences, and seat availability.

• After allotment, report to the college and complete document verification.

• Pay the prescribed fees and complete university admission and registration formalities.

• Attend the orientation programme and commence the academic session.

Eligibility

• Must have passed 10+2/Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognized board.

• Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

• Must satisfy the minimum marks and subject requirements prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the concerned affiliating university.

• Admission is generally through TNEA counselling based on qualifying-examination merit.

• Candidates must satisfy the applicable reservation and community requirements, wherever applicable.

The infrastructure includes full-fledged permanent Buildings and the maintenance is carried out by skilled and qualified team. Maintenance wing is headed by 3 site engineers, with 17 Assistant Engineers, Supervisors and workmen in all. Their responsibilities include periodical maintenance of the buildings, apart from planning and construction of new buildings or extensions.All the individual departments have adequate number of LCD projectors and OHPs. They are under regular service contracts and periodical inspection is carried out by the suppliers.

• We have a clinic with the full time doctor and a dispensary with two beds.
  
• We also have two ambulance vans available for service.
  
• A medical shop is kept open till 9.30 p.m.
  
• A clinic, with beds along with on call Doctor facility for 24 Hours to take care of the health requirements of the hostel students, is also available.
  

The college has a landscape consultant, garden supervisors and a large number of gardeners with a comprehensive set of garden equipments. The entire campus has landscaping with green grass, ornamental plants and shady trees making the campus very green and beautiful. The college presents an attractive and pleasant look with its green and pollution-free ambience which is conducive to good teaching – learning ambience.The primary aim of the Department throughout has been to offer various opportunities to all students’ desirous of practicing sports seriously. Encourage the talented ones to make sincere effort to achieve the higher distinction in sports at Zone, Inter Zone, All India Inter University, TIES, Invitational Tournaments, State, and National/International levels by providing them the best available inputs in terms of equipment, coaching, training, nutrition, kitting, Funding ,Rewards with cash Prize etc.

Hostel Facilities - Boys Hostel

• The college has comprehensive hostel facilities for the students. Two buildings are exclusively provided for men to accommodate more than 600 students..
  
• The Boys' Hostel-I of 2200 sq.m has 72 rooms spread over three floors for the First Year students
  
• The Boys Hostel –II of 2880 sq.m. has 84 rooms spread over four floors for the higher semester students.
  
• The boys hostel has separate library, reading room, shuttle courts and a stores (shop) to facilitate the students.
  
• The hostel blocks also have land line phone with STD facility and free wifi connectivity.
  

Hostel Facilities - Girls Hostel

• The college has a separate hostel for women. One building with three floors are made available exclusively for women to accommodate around 450 students are provided.
  
• The Girls' Hostel-I of 2880 sq.m. has 104 rooms.
  
• The girls hostel has Shuttle courts, Table tennis and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have land line phone with STD facility and free wi-fi connectivity.

Rules and Regulations for hostel residents

• No student should stay in the hostel, without specific permission from the warden, when the college is working.
  
• The Mess Timings are Break fast : 7.30a.m - 8.00a.m Lunch : As provided in the college timetable Tea : 3.30p.m - 4.00 p.m Dinner : 7.30p.m - 8.00p.m
  
• The study hours in the hostel are from 8.30 p.m to 10.30 p.m daily. During the study hours, the students are expected to stay in their rooms and keep their rooms open.
• They should avoid group discussions
  
• Students can entertain the visitors only during the visiting hours. The normal visiting hours are from 4.00p.m to 6.00p.m on working days and from 8.00a.m to 6.00p.m on Sundays and other holidays.
  
• Permission to go out of the Hostel will be given only once in a month on a holiday. They can leave the Hostel after 6.30a.m and should return before 6.00p.m
  
• No student will be allowed to go out based on a phone message. Phone calls from outsiders, other than parents of students, are strictly prohibited.
  

Transportation facilities provide connectivity between the campus and nearby towns and residential areas. College buses offer students a convenient commuting option and can also support industrial visits, educational tours, internships, workshops, field activities, and other off-campus programmes. The facility is useful for students travelling from surrounding areas of Tiruvallur and Chennai.
