Ragas Dental College & Hospital (RDCH)

Ragas Dental College & Hospital commonly called "RDC Chennai", is a Unit of Jayas Group.  This Dental College located at the outskirts of Chennai was founded in the year 1987 by Dr. B.P. Rajan, a conservative dentist, under the aegis of Ragas Educational Society.  Its first Dean was Dr. Vasanta Rao.

The Ragas campus is located in about 6 acres of scenic land on the famous East Coast Road, Uthandi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

RDCH is Affiiated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and approved by Dental Council of India (DCI), Govt. of India.  The college is Accredited by NAAC.

Ragas Dental College and Hospital offers BDS, MDS and PhD programs. The college also offers Diploma Programs in Dental Hygiene and Dental Mechanic.  For admission into the UG and PG programs the eligibility criteria is based on the ranking in the NEET and NEET MDS Entrance Exam    reapectively.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

Candidates should be Citizens of India and should have undergone BDS course including the entire Compulsory Residential Rotatory Internship (CRRI) period in the State of Tamil Nadu and they should have registered with the Tamil Nadu Dental Council.
Candidates who are Natives of Tamil Nadu completed BDS in other State should furnish their Certificates of Nativity of Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority and supported by the following documents: Valid copy of Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, Voter’s ID, Passport and Proof of Parent’s Documents is Mandatory (Aadhar Card and School Certificates) If copy of the supporting documents is not produced, then the application will be summarily rejected.
Candidates seeking admission to MDS course, they have to qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- NEET MDS 2021 conducted by the National Board of Examinations. The eligibility criteria prescribed by Directorate General of Health Service, Government of India, New Delhi, in accordance with the MDS Course Regulations, 2017 notified by the Dental Council of India (DCI) with prior approval of Minister of Health and Family Welfare Department (MoHFW), Government of India, New Delhi shall taken into account for admission to MDS Course in the academic year
Candidates who have cleared their BDS Examination and completed / completing the CRRI period on or before 31-03-2021 are only eligible to apply. However the candidates should possess the Permanent Dental Council Registration Certificate of the States or of India or the Provisional Registration Certificate of the Dental Council at the time of the counselling.
Candidates should possess BDS Degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University or any other Universities recognized by the Dental Council of India and Candidates who have qualified from other Universities except Annamalai University should produce ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai-600 032 at the time of Counselling.The online prospectus for admission to MDS Courses in 2023 – 2024 session in Tamil Nadu Government Dental Colleges, and for admission to Government seats in Self

4,20,000 for the duration of four years until their course is not completed. Every year selected candidates will get Rs. 1,05,000 as their education Fund. Under this Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship, 2023, 57 candidates from first-year BDS will be selected to avail the benefit.

The highest package received is 6 LPA, and the lowest package is around Rs. 80,000 per annum. Many students have joined private clinics and also government hospitals. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is really good.
