Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), commonly known as RIET, is a private self-financing engineering institution located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The institute was established in 2009 under the Indira Charitable Trust, founded as part of the Rajadhani Group of Educational Institutions. The institution was established with the objective of providing quality technical education and developing skilled engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and professionals capable of contributing to social and industrial transformation.

Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET) follows a systematic admission process based on merit and the guidelines of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), Government of Kerala, and AICTE. For B.Tech programmes, admissions are offered through the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, as well as through management quota seats according to government norms. Candidates seeking B.Tech admission must have completed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as an optional subject, securing the required percentage of marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined. Eligible candidates can apply online by submitting the application form along with required documents, entrance exam scores, and academic details. After selection, students must complete document verification and pay the prescribed fees to confirm admission. For B.Tech Lateral Entry admission, candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology or a B.Sc degree with Mathematics at the higher secondary level can apply through the lateral entry admission process as per university norms. For M.Tech programmes, applicants should possess a relevant B.Tech/B.E degree with the required percentage criteria. MBA admission requires a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, along with a valid entrance examination score such as CAT, KMAT, CMAT, or other accepted exams. Candidates must submit necessary certificates, including academic mark sheets, transfer certificate, entrance scorecard (where applicable), and category certificates during the admission process. The institute also provides admission opportunities for eligible students through merit-based selection and offers guidance throughout the application, counselling, and joining procedures.

Admission Process

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination) or an equivalent qualification with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology as one optional subject, meeting the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Government of Kerala and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).
• Applicants seeking merit admission must qualify in the KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture & Medical) entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
• Candidates must participate in the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) conducted by CEE Kerala and select Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology as their preferred institution during the counselling process.
• Management Quota and NRI Quota admissions are offered as per the norms of the Government of Kerala and the Admission Supervisory Committee (ASC), subject to the prescribed eligibility requirements.
• Final admission is confirmed after seat allotment, document verification, payment of the prescribed admission fee, and fulfillment of all APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and institutional admission formalities.
