Our Rajeswari college of Arts and Science for Women, aims at spreading knowledge and education in the field of Arts and Science and bringing out the hidden potentials of the students. The college was started in 2007 with the blessings of Mailam Sri Murugan and the patronage of his Holiness, the 19th Peedathipathi Srila Sri Sivagnana Balaya Swamigal.

"Kumarasamy Educational Trust" is running the Institution under the blessings and guidence of the present 20th Peedathipathi Srila Sri Sivagnana Balaya Swamigal.

The College campus is situated at Bommayapalayam which is about 13 km from the Railway Station and 14 km from Pondicherry Main Bus Stand. and also it is near to the Pondicherry University.

It is about 130 km south of Chennai (Madras) on the shores of Bay of Bengal. The campus is well connected by town buses and routes buses plying between Pondicherry and Kalapet.

About Our Mission

Our mission is to meticulously imparting Social Ethical Educational and Human Values to Women youth folk to strengthen the base of the research oriented higher educational and thereby making positive contribution to the Indian Nation. To pay individual attention, monitor the progress and appraise the parents to mould the students as good citizens. To inculcate social, cultural, economic and environmental values among the students.

Admission Procedure :

(a) Applications from eligible candidates made in the prescribed form only will be considered

(b) Application form will be issued in the name of the candidate seeking admission. It is not transferable.

(c) Applicants must fill in the applications legibly in their own handwriting.

(d) Applicants and their parents/guardians shall be solely responsible for the declarations made in the applications. If, at any time, it is found that an application is incorrect or inaccurate or incomplete, the student shall forfeit her seat.

(e) Students should be accompanied by their parents or Guardian.

(f) Late or incomplete applications or applications containing false information will be summarily rejected.

(g) Interview card announcing the time and date of interview will be sent only to those provisionally selected for admission to the course applied for.

(h) The provisionally selected candidate will have to present herself along with his/her parent/guardian for interview with the Principal on the date and time mentioned in the interview card.

(i) The provisional admission will be automatically cancelled if the candidate fails to turn up for the interview on the specified date.

(j) At the time of interview the candidates are to produce the following documents and Xerox copies (two) each:

Interview Card (Xerox)
Transfer and Conduct Certificates (original)
Mark List of the qualifying examination (Xerox)
Residence and Nativity Certificates (Xerox)
Community Certificate (Xerox)
Two Passport size photos, along with Parents or guardian Photos

(k) Selected candidates must pay the fees immediately after the interview, if admission is confirmed. Extension of time will not be granted for payment of fees under any circumstances.

We are Providing Placement & Training activities to all Students :

To organize campus interviews for final year students with industries and business houses of repute from all in and around Puducherry.

To prepare students to face campus interviews by arranging training in Aptitude tests, group discussions, preparing for Technical and HR interviews through professional trainers.

To arrange Industrial visit and In-Plant training.
To arrange final semester project for the students.
To promote career counselling by organising guidance lectures by senior corporate personnel and most importantly by the immediately placed senior students.
One of the main responsibilities of the placement cell is to motivate, train and prepare the students for the Job Market.
Our College has tie-up with Pondicherry University to make arrangements for placement.
We are arranging for on Campus and off Campus interviews.
Every year a large number of students from our college are getting jobs in MNCS like INTEGRA Etc.,

Library

The college library is well equipped with a large collection of books to cater to the needs of the students of all branches, along with regularly updated magazines, dailies, textual, and reference books. A book bank patronized by the members of the College Literary Club is also functioning, wherein members alone are eligible to use the exclusive collections, which include books for competitive exams, Personal Development, Skills Development, etc.,

Laboratories

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

Auditorium

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

Cafeteria

The College has a spacious canteen facility in the college. A variety of South Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college with the highest quality. The canteen has a big kitchen and kitchen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen. Food items are prepared with RO-treated water. It also provides light refreshments like packed snack items, cakes, and veggies. puff, beverages, etc to the students and staff of the college. All stationery items are made available in the stores at reasonable rates, fixed by the college management.

I.T Infrastructure

A Full-fledged and well-equipped lab is available in our college to develop computer knowledge and to master computer skills. We provide Individual Terminals to each student. The computer lab is connected to MHRD, it will provide a wide range of knowledge. Unlimited internet browsing facility for students free of cost(Wi-Fi Campus). We have a Separate Lab for UG and PG degrees. Computer lab with 80 computers at students’ disposal, offering practical sessions for students especially those doing BSc Computer Science and BCA.

Sports

The college has Splendid facilities for all sports events provided by MS.T.MAHESWARI, well trained Physical Director like Volleyball, Shuttle, Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Badminton, Athletics, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Kho Kho, and Indoor games. Our College students participate in more than 20 Inter-College/Divisional Tournaments.
