• Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology (RGCET) has announced that admissions for the academic year 2023-24 are now open. The college is gearing up for its upcoming event, Convocation-2023. 

• In an effort to enhance the employability of its students, RGCET has introduced the Mettl Employability Test. This innovative approach is assisting over 700 recruiters in identifying a candidate’s suitability for a specific job role. 

• RGCET is also offering Skill Development courses under the Electronic System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) scheme, which has received approval from the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India. This initiative aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills and knowledge.

Those candidates looking for admissions in the BE programs must have qualified 10+2 higher secondary/ PUC/ Intermediate or any equivalent qualifying exams with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in subjects of physics, mathematics, chemistry with optional subjects like Biology or Biotechnology or computer science.

The Institute offers Merit-cum-Means scholarships to 25% undergraduate students. Besides, there are several endowment scholarships offered by the Institute.

The Institute offers a large number of Junior/Senior Research Fellowships to students admitted to Ph D programmes. Efforts are being made to offer scholarships to all eligible candidates admitted to Ph D Programmes.

Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry has an 18-bus fleet that transports students and staff members from all around the city and its surrounding areas to and from the college. Every student has access to the college bus system. Aside from regularly scheduled visits, the facility is available for events such as special coaching sessions after college hours, placements and training, campus drives, etc.
