Ramco Institute of Technology - RIT is a Private, Self Financing, Non-Minority, Co-Education College was promoted by Raja Charity Trust (Ramco Group) and was established in the academic year 2013-14. It is completely supported by the Ramco Group to create quality Engineers for future needs. The overall management of the Institution is vested with the Governing Council under the able leadership of Shri P R Venketrama Raja, Chairman, RAMCO Group Industries.

Ramco Institute of Technology is located at North Veganallur Village, Krishnapuram Panchayat, Rajapalayam. The College stands on a massive 120 Acres sized campus which is carefully nurtured with Greenery within. The exterior is in a semi rural surrounding, full of verdant and pristine greenery away from traffic and pollution, making it an ideal setting for higher learning. Rajapalayam Railway Station is 7.6 Kms from the College Campus and Madurai Airport is at a distance of 73 Kms.

Ramco Institute of Technology is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AIXTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the College with a rating of A+ The National Board of Accreditation has accredited Four UG Programs of the College - CSE, EEE, ECE & Mechanical. The College is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Institution. As per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) the College is ranked 101-150 in the "Engineering" category in the 2024 rankings and 151 out of 312 in India, in the "Overall" category.

Central Library covering all the disciplines, as required, Hostels for Men and Women Students and Staff with well contained facilities within, College owned Buses as part of Transportation and commuting requirements, it has 5 Air Conditioned Seminar Halls of 150-200 Seating Capacity and another 350 Seater Air Conditioned Seminar Hall for the Placement Department. Every Hall is complete with all AV equipment as needed and sound acoustics. Placement

Our Institute has established a full-fledged Training and Placement Centre (TPC) for facilitating the students for campus placement. The facilities include a Conference Hall of seating capacity 350 for conducting PPT and other events, a Discussion Room and 10 numbers of Interview Rooms. All these rooms are designed good interiors, ambience provided with networking and other essential facilities.

Training is an essential component to enable students equip with the desired skills to get decent placement in Companies/Corporates/Industries/Organisations. The Training calendar is designed to the needs of the students to enhance their employability. Training on communication skills is designed and executed with the help of Experts for all students, starting from first year onwards to meet the standard of industry expectations. Career focus events are arranged to help students to set their target from second year onwards so that they would get adequate time for competence development. Career Awareness programmes are arranged for all second year students to make them aware of all career options and competence expected by industries.

RIT Library is located in the first floor of Main Block and it is spread over 404 sq.m. The Library has a good collection of books covering various branches of Engineering, Humanities & Science and other books related to Competitive Examinations. The Library has Acquisition Section, Technical Section, Circulation Section, Reference Section, Periodical Section and Digital Library Section. The Air-conditioned Reading Hall of Library can accommodate around 150 members at time.

Canteen is a place where students of all courses interact with each other and enjoy the good food. Our modern well-furnished cafeteria, built in an area of 150 sq.m is a perfect place for a snack break. Our cafeteria offers a wide range of hot and cold options for breakfast, lunch and everything in-between. It also offers delicious munchies, ice creams, soft drinks at an affordable price. RIT also has an open air, garden-view cafeteria where students are provided with enough place to relax. We at RIT understand the importance of good health and its role in building a healthy mind. Therefore, our well designed hygienic canteen supplies quality snacks and eatables.

There are well equipped international standard gyms for men and women installed with the latest equipment in the hostel premises. The gyms are furnished with strength machines, treadmills, equipment for power lifting, weight training and cycling. A dedicated area for aerobics and cardio exercises is also available. They are open to students to encourage the weight lifters, body builders and fitness seekers.

RIT houses five 150-200 seater air-conditioned seminar halls with video conferencing and presentation facilities. It is also equipped with excellent sound system and good interiors. We have a separate 350 seater air-conditioned placement seminar hall with state-of-the-art interior, sound system and presentation facilities to conduct training and placement activities. Events such as small meetings, symposia, seminars, conferences, guest lectures, invited talks etc., are organized here.

RIT has excellent transport facilities with 20+ buses. Our buses connect towns and places that include Virudhunagar, Sivakasi, Srivilliputhur, Krishnankoil, Sankarankovil, and all areas of Rajapalayam. The buses are driven by experienced drivers with utmost care to ensure safety and punctuality.
