Rani Channamma University, commonly known as RCUB, is a public state university located in Belagavi, Karnataka. The university was established in 2010 by the Government of Karnataka with the aim of expanding access to higher education for students in the North Karnataka region. It was formed by upgrading the Kittur Rani Channamma Post Graduate Centre of Karnatak University, Dharwad, which had been functioning since 1982.

The university is named after Kittur Rani Channamma, one of India’s earliest women freedom fighters, and reflects a mission of promoting education, social development, and empowerment in the region. RCUB serves the districts of Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Bagalkote and has become one of the major universities in North Karnataka with hundreds of affiliated colleges under its jurisdiction.

The main campus, known as “Vidyasangama,” is located near Bhootaramanahatti on the Pune–Bengaluru National Highway and is spread across a large green campus of around 178 acres. Scholarship
