Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Educational Trust was established by Sri G Venkat Swamy, Founder and Chairman in the year 1994, with the aim of promoting quality Technical Education in the State of Tamil Nadu.   Following the overwhelming success in the maiden effort of establishing Ranippettai Institute of Technology with only diploma courses in Engineering, the Trust established Ranippettai Engineering College in the year of 1999 with Bachelor Degree courses in Engineering.

Ranippettai Engineering College is located in a sprawling 10 acre campus in Walajapet Taluk, Thenkadapanthangal, Vellore District, Ranipet, Tamil Nadu.  It is situated on the Chennai - Bombay Trunk Road adjacent to Chennasamudram Toll gate, about 100Kms from Chennai, 30Kms from Vellore, and 37Kms from Katpadi railway junction.
