Rathnavel Subramaniam College of Arts and Science, affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, offer career-oriented education leading to graduation, post-graduation and research degrees in Arts and Science disciplines. Founded on 31st October, 1986, it has grown exuberantly to become one of the biggest self- financing colleges. The college was accorded autonomous status in 2004 by UGC and re-accredited in 2014 with an 'A' Grade further reaccredited in 2023 with A+ Grade.

The courses have been framed meticulously under autonomous system, to meet the demands of the industry. They also cater to the expectations of the present generation. The design and development of the curriculum was meticulously monitored by the respective Departments of the college. The College has on its roll a team of talented, dedicated and competent faculty adept in industry experience as well.

The College offers Bachelors, Masters and Research programs in various streams like Computer Science, Electronics, Management, Commerce, English Literature, Mathematics and Life Sciences.

More Career-Oriented programs have been introduced incorporating Animation and Visual Effects, Oracle and Networking for students to enhance their knowledge facilitating provision for a multi-dimensional career path.

Boys Hostel

The college has separate hostels for boys with a/c and non-a/c facilities with spacious rooms with bunker–typed beds. The inmates are nutritiously fed.

Girls Hostel

The college has separate hostels for girls with a/c and non-a/c facilities with spacious rooms with bunker–typed beds. The inmates are nutritiously fed.

Medical/Hospital

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a Cafeteria functioning on the campus, which serves delightful and hygienic food.

Auditorium

The college has a spacious, adequately large, exquisitely designed Auditorium fondly named after Dr.Abdul Kalam, former President of India. This auditorium can comfortably accommodate more than 750 students. It serves for conducting programs such as Graduation Day Ceremonies, Student Union functions, Orientation Course Tutorials, Special addresses by VIPs, College Annual day functions, Literature oriented meetings, Cultural programs, etc. The dais is equipped with sophisticated audio facilities. The auditorium is also made by the authorities of the District administration for the purpose of coaching trainees on special occasions to transact Govt. assignments.

Transport Facility

The college is equipped with 20 buses carrying 800 Students daily. Buses depart from the college bus station to different locations in and around Coimbatore and Tirupur to facilitate the students

College Bus

The College plies a fleet of buses separately for students and staff to commute. Buses are equipped with all safety devices like Fire Extinguisher, First-aid Kit etc. The college provides transportation to different locations in and around Coimbatore and Tirupur districts. This transport facility is also used for various co-curricular/extracurricular/recreational activities such as field trips, environmental visits, industrial visits and recruitments. The satellite campuses are well connected with our college buses which enhance the number of beneficiaries.
