About

RPS College of Veterinary Sciences is one of the educational Institutes founded by Dr O.P. Yadav who along with a few visionaries from various walks of life such as Education, Social, Industrial, etc. established Rao Pahlad Singh Education Society in the year 1998.  A Lawyer by profession, Dr Yadav believed in the teachings of his father that "achievement of greater social justice is closely dependent on equitable access by all sections of the population to quality education."  With that belief, Rao Pahald Singh Education Society has been in the noble service of enlightening the so-called backward strata of the state of Haryana through its educational Institutes at the school and college level for the last 25 years.  RPSCVS has been established with a broad vision and a great mission to promote merit amongst students in the field of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry..

The college is located on Satnali Road, Balana, Mahendergarh, Haryana, India.

RPSCVS is Approved by VCI and Affiliated to Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar.

RPS College of Veterinary Sciences offers UG and Diploma programs I in the field of Veterinary Science.  This Institute follows the course curriculum for B.V.Sc. & A.H. and VLD Diploma as per the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education (MSVE 2016-2017) prescribed by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi.  The eligibility for BVSc&AH is based on Plus 2 marks and must have appeared for the NEET Examination (UG).  VLDD admission is on the basis of an Entrance Test (VLDDET) conducted by LUVAS, Hisar.

RPSCVS provides adequate facilities include Library, Computer Lab, Transport, IT Cell, Games & Sports Facilities, Conference/Seminar Hall, Hostel, Canteen, Gymnasium, Wi-fi and ATM Ambulatory clinics, Diagnostic Laboratories.  The college also has various Academic Departments for practical learning purposes like VCC, LPM, LRC, LPM, etc.

Admission Procedure

• Apply through Haryana state counseling based on NEET merit—this is how seats are allotted under the regular merit quota.

• Management quota seats may be available; they still require:

  • 10+2 with required marks,

  • NEET exam attempted (even if low score)

  • Admissions are based on NEET-UG merit ranking.

  • If NEET scores are tied, the tie-breaker is:

    1. Percentage in core subjects (English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) in 10+2 exam,

    2. If still tied, the older candidate gets preference

• Must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English from a recognized board (COBSE, CBSE, ICSE, or Haryana Board.

• Minimum Marks:

  • General Category: at least 50% aggregate in the required subjects.

  • SC Category: eligible with 47.5% aggregate—this applies only to merit seats, not management quota.

• Age Requirements:

  • Must be at least 17 years old by the end of the admission year.

  • Upper limit is 25 years for general category; SC/BC candidates from Haryana get a 5-year relaxation (30 years).

  • No relaxation of marks or age limits applies to management quota seats
