RPS College of Veterinary Sciences is one of the educational Institutes founded by Dr O.P. Yadav who along with a few visionaries from various walks of life such as Education, Social, Industrial, etc. established Rao Pahlad Singh Education Society in the year 1998.  A Lawyer by profession, Dr Yadav believed in the teachings of his father that "achievement of greater social justice is closely dependent on equitable access by all sections of the population to quality education."  With that belief, Rao Pahald Singh Education Society has been in the noble service of enlightening the so-called backward strata of the state of Haryana through its educational Institutes at the school and college level for the last 25 years.  RPSCVS has been established with a broad vision and a great mission to promote merit amongst students in the field of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry..

The college is located on Satnali Road, Balana, Mahendergarh, Haryana, India.

RPSCVS is Approved by VCI and Affiliated to Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar.

RPS College of Veterinary Sciences offers UG and Diploma programs I in the field of Veterinary Science.  This Institute follows the course curriculum for B.V.Sc. & A.H. and VLD Diploma as per the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education (MSVE 2016-2017) prescribed by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi.  The eligibility for BVSc&AH is based on Plus 2 marks and must have appeared for the NEET Examination (UG).  VLDD admission is on the basis of an Entrance Test (VLDDET) conducted by LUVAS, Hisar.

RPSCVS provides adequate facilities include Library, Computer Lab, Transport, IT Cell, Games & Sports Facilities, Conference/Seminar Hall, Hostel, Canteen, Gymnasium, Wi-fi and ATM Ambulatory clinics, Diagnostic Laboratories.  The college also has various Academic Departments for practical learning purposes like VCC, LPM, LRC, LPM, etc.

The candidates under all the categories must have passed the 10+2 examination and obtained a minimum of 50% marks (except SC category) in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from a recognized approved Board of School Education having equivalences by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi/CBSE/ICSE and also by Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani. As per Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana letter no. 22/129/ 2013-1GSIII dated 16.07.2014, the SC category candidates will be allowed a relaxation up to 5% of the requirement for General Category i.e., the SC candidates securing a minimum of 47.5% marks in aggregate of the four subjects mentioned above will be eligible to apply for admission. No such relaxation will be applicable for management quota seats of RPS College of Veterinary Sciences, Balana (Mahendergarh) Haryana.
The candidate must have attained or will attain the age of 17 years. The upper age limit for candidates of all categories(except SC and BC) is 25 years as of the day of registration. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates of SC and BC categories of Haryana State. No such relaxation in the upper age will be applicable for management quota seats of RPS College of Veterinary Sciences, Balana.
The list of Boards/Universities, un-recognized/un-approved/not found equivalent by the Board of School Education, Haryana/CBSE/ICSE, and Council of Boards of School Education, New Delhi. Later on, if any other Board is not found an equivalent for 1Oth and/or 10+2, the certificate issued by such a board will be invalid and the candidates possessing such certificates will not be eligible for the admission. Inadvertently, if any such candidate is admitted, his/her admission shall be cancelled at any time by the Registrar and disciplinary action shall be taken as per the rules.
In case the result of the qualifying examination has been declared publicly but the certificate has not been issued by the concerned Board/University, such candidates shall have to produce a certificate from the Head of the Institute last attended.
The last date for submission of the online duly filled admission form for all the seats of RPS College of Veterinary Sciences, Balana will be given on the website of affiliating university LUVAS.
The recent coloured photograph of (2.0" X 2.0") size, uploaded on the admission form, should depict the name of the candidate and date of taking the photo and it should be without a cap or dark glasses. If the uploaded photograph of (2.0"x 2.0") size is old /with a cap / with dark glasses/ disfigured, the admission form shall be rejected.
NEET Examination: All the candidates (except NRI and Foreign Nationals) seeking admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. program must have appeared in the NEET Examination (UG). Admissions will be made on the basis of the merit of the NEET Examination (UG). In the case of two or more candidates scoring the same marks in the NEET Examination (UG), the merit would be decided based on the percentage of aggregate marks obtained in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology of the 10+2 examination. If still, there is a tie, then the candidate senior in age will be considered higher in the merit.
Counselling-cum-Admission
The competent authority reserves the right to reject any admission form for reasons to be recorded in writing.
The allocation of seats will be through online counselling and the details will be available on the university website.
The admissions on all the seats of B.V.Sc. & A.H. program at RPS College of Veterinary Sciences, Balana will be made as per the merit list to be prepared based on marks obtained by the candidates in the NEET Examination(UG).
The candidates, who have been allotted seats at RPS College of Veterinary Sciences as per the NEET Examination (UG) merit list in the respective category are to report for document verification and other admission formalities as per the schedule to be uploaded on the university's website, in the Seminar Hall of the RPS College of Veterinary Sciences, Balana, failing which, they will have no claim for admission. No separate letter in this connection shall be issued.
As per the guidelines of LUVAS, the candidates shall have to pay fees and other charges then and there, otherwise, the seat will be declared vacant. If any candidate after completion of admission formalities does not deposit the required fee, his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she will not be eligible for subsequent counseling(s). Also, if any candidate remains absent at the time of document verification, fee deposition, and medical examination, he/she will not be considered in the subsequent counseling(s) even if he/she is higher in merit. Further, if a candidate refuses to accept admission on his/her turn, he/she shall lose his/her right of admission. He/she will not be considered for admission on the subsequent counseling even if he/she is higher in merit.
The candidates are required to bring all the original documents, two recently taken photos and two sets of self-attested photocopies of documents, etc. at the time of document verification, failing which they shall be refused admission. The original documents of the admitted candidates shall be retained by the Registrar's office and temporarily provided to the candidate on a written request for a week or up to one day before the subsequent counseling, whichever is earlier, and if not returned by the date committed, admission of that candidate shall stand automatically cancelled. Additionally, the documents will be returned to the candidates after the completion of the verification process.
After deposition of the fees and other charges, the candidates shall get themselves medically examined submit a medical certificate on the same day as per the university guidelines, so that registration can be completed on the same day. The fees deposited by the candidate, who is found medically unfit, shall be refunded and his/her admission shall automatically stand cancelled. The admission of those candidates, who fail to complete any of the admission formalities, shall be cancelled and on the request of the candidate the dues paid shall be refunded as per rules.
Documents Required
Matric Certificate with Date of Birth and Father's/Mother's Name.
The 10+2 certificate from Board of School Education, Haryana/ CBSE/any other Board considered approved/equivalent as a member by COBSE, New Delhi. If any certificate is found fake or not equivalent by any of the above Boards at any stage, admission will be cancelled and legal action will be initiated.

The applicants who have passed the qualifying examination earlier and if there is a gap of more than one year from the date of declaration of result of the previous examination (other than the pursuit of studies in an institution/college) shall give a self-undertaking regarding their non-enrollment in any institution. Similarly, the applicants who have passed the qualifying examination as private candidates will also have to submit the undertaking in this regard.

Ambulatory Clinics
The ambulatory clinic aims to provide animal treatment at the doorsteps of the farmers or the needy ones. It is under the leadership of our Hon'ble Director and is operational all 6 days a week and caters to healthcare needs, animal production consultancy to the households located in rural areas in the 30 km radius of the college. It also accords an opportunity to understand the field problems faced by the Livestock Owners & find solutions by the team of specialist doctors, besides surveillance upon the emerging problem on profitable animal farming.

Library
A well-stocked library has been established in the heart of the college campus for the benefit of students and staff. It remains open on all working days from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Library is fully automated with internet facilities and e-journals. It consists of Reference Sections, Circulation Sections, Periodical Sections, etc. A card cataloging system is used for library references.

At present more than 2000 books of different disciplines, scientific journals, and copies of Masters and Ph.D. thesis, departmental manuals, magazines, newspapers are available in the library. It is managed and operated by diligent librarians & supporting staff. It is highly spacious which can accommodate upto 200 scholars at a time.

Computer Lab
RPS Group of Institutions has the following highly sophisticated and well-equipped laboratories in accordance with the requirements of various courses:

Computing Facility: The institute is equipped with well-structured computer labs with more than 250 high-quality Dual Core 2.70 GHz machines from HCL. Printers and scanners are provided in each and every lab and each computer is connected with high speed dedicated 8 Mbps 1:1 bandwidth. All computer labs are connected with a 24 Hrs uninterrupted power supply.
Internet Connectivity: All computers are connected with dedicated 8 Mbps 1:1 bandwidth internet. The internet connectivity with campus-wide area networking enables access from anywhere. Internet connectivity is extended to Hostel with Wi-Fi Connectivity.
Campus-Wide Network: The campus-wide area network is spread over all of the institutions, connecting all the service points. The whole campus is provided with the facility of Wi-Fi Connectivity including Hostels, Lawns, Canteen and Central Library.
Network Lab: Network Lab is equipped with advanced hardware and tools for networking. The lab provides the facility to learn the latest networking techniques, topologies, and maintain the network. The lab is equipped with the latest Cisco Routers, various Switches, Networking Cables, Wired, and Wireless LAN Cards.

Hostel
The college has separate hostel facilities for boys & girls with a hostel warden and supporting staff in each hostel to supervise. The hostel is quite spacious and comfortable with well-furnished & fully maintained rooms. A separate reading room on each floor is also available for the students. All the rooms are good in ventilation with basic amenities like bed, table, chair, cupboard, and electrical fittings.

Canteen
The Canteen at RPSGOI is highly hygienic and it caters to the needs of healthy and nutritious eatables. Junk foods are a big no in the canteen. The canteen opens from 08:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. The routine health check-up of the cook and the workers is carried at regular intervals of three months. Furthermore, our canteen has menus that are designed by a team of professional dieticians, comprising of nutritious and wholesome food to ensure a well-balanced diet including fresh fruit juices, milkshakes, ice creams. Midnight snacks are also available in the canteen for those energy boosts.

ATM Facility
The ATM facility from Oriental Bank of Commerce is provided to the students and all teaching and non-teaching staff of RPS on the premises of RPS GOI, Balana.

Gymnasium
As it's a well-known saying that "A sound mind resides in a sound body", we have a fully equipped gym which has high-quality equipment, such as different varieties of dumbbells, barbells, cardio machines, weight lifting machines, etc. for all your exercise requirements. We have professionals such as dieticians, gym instructors, physical therapists, yoga instructors, bodybuilders, and aerobics trainers available in the gym. On-campus Gymnasium equipped with most modern fitness machines provide a perfect opportunity for both girls and boys for their regular workouts and enhance their fitness level.

Games And Sport
Along with the academic environment, the college also promotes the importance of sportsman spirit & team effort for students. For this several inter and intra-college sports events are organized throughout the year. The Campus has adequate sports infrastructure like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, etc. It presents excellent facilities for indoor & outdoor games. A modern & fully functional gymnasium is also available here to make the students healthy & strong.

Wifi Connectivity
RPS Group of Institutions is well connected from its ISP (Internet Service Provider) via a leased optical fiber cable carrying a data rate of 50 Mbps. Internet facility is provided in whole campus, labs, and hostels using wired and Wi-Fi techniques 24x7.

Conference Hall
A spacious air-conditioned Conference Hall is also available in the college. It is a meeting room where crucial decisions are made and problems are solved calmly. Here the seating arrangement has been designed in a way that it can accommodate around 200 persons at a time.

This room is installed with a whiteboard & projection screen having a multi-touch feature, mouse-hover functionality, which can be used by multiple users at a time. The conference hall is equipped with good audio-video equipment & better internet connectivity which enable the guests and staff members to access the internet during the program.

Seminar Hall
The institute encompasses 1 seminar hall, which is designed in a way to accelerate the teaching-learning process using modern technological aids. It is used for various purposes like guest lectures, workshops, student meetings, staff meetings, placement drives, Faculty-Development Programs, etc. It is fully media-equipped with LCD Projector & HD sound system. It has a capacity of 300 viewer seats.

Transport
RPS Institutes have a big fleet of more than 59 buses plying up to a radius of 80km. The bus facility, apart from the students, has also been given to the faculty members and other staff members from all the nearby cities and towns in very nominal charges. Experienced and skilled drivers who fulfill all the terms and conditions of the State Government are appointed to all the buses.
