S A Engineering College was established by the Dharma Naidu Educational & Charitable Trust in the year 1998.Dr S Ramachandran is the Principal of the Institution.
S A Engineering College campus is spread over a vast and massive area of 24 Acres of which almost 4 Lakh sq ft is the constructed area. The area is lush green and asway from pollution of all kinds. It is located on the Poonamallee-Avadi Road, Thiruverkadu close to Chennai.

The College has a ISO 9001:2008 Certification and has NBA Accredited Departments and NAAC "A" Grade Certification.The College was placed at 22nd Rank among the top 70 Private Institutions in 2024, 28th Rank among Top 125 Private Engineering Institute Rankings in 2024 and on the 26th Rank in Anna University.
