S.A. Engineering College is a Private Autonomous Engineering College in Thiruverkadu which started functioning under the leadership of D. Sudharssanam, a former M.L.A. SAEC was established in the Academic Year 1998–99 under the aegis of the Dharma Naidu Educational and Charitable Trust.   

SVEC is spread over a vast area of about 42 acres with well-planned and aesthetically designed campus has ultra modern facilities in constructed area of more than 4 lakh square feet which includes separate academic wing for each department.  The College campus is located in Poonamallee, Avadi Road Veeraraghavapuram, Thiruverkadu, Tamil Nadu. 

S.A. Engineering College is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai and has been functioning with the approval of the AICTE and the general policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu to give high priority to technical education.   The college has NBA accredited Departments and NAAC 'A' grade Certification.  In recognition of the quality system of high caliber being implemented for the administration of the institution and achievement of its goals, m/s. S.A. Transport

The College has a fleet of 30 buses to transport students and staff from various parts of the city and its neighborhood areas to the College and back home Transport facility will be arranged to every student. Every student is expected to avail the transport facility to enable him/her to be punctual to come to the College.
