Prof M.R.Holla, a well-known academician and administrator with-over 50 years of academic and administrative experience to his credit along with an excellent team of popular professors of RVCE/RNSIT Bengaluru. The team comprises of Dr. Y.Jayasimha, Prof R.C.Shanmukha Swamy & Dr. A.M.Padma Reddy, in association with Sri R.Srinivas Raju, a practicing Civil Engineer, Sri M.K Manohar renowned Chartered Accountant and Sri Narayana Raju well known administrator both at RVCE/RNSIT.

Eligibility Criteria
2.1 For Bachelor of Engineering (BE)
The candidates shall have passed the 2nd year Pre University or 12th standard or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects - Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology or Electronics.
The Candidate should have secured not less than 45% of aggregate marks in optional subjects and 40% of aggregate marks in optional subjects for SC/ST candidates with English as one of the languages for admissions to engineering. (PCM/PMB/PME/PMCS/PMBT).
2.2 For MBA/MCA:
A candidate who has passed Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects including languages in all the years of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to MBA courses. (45% of marks in Qualifying Examination in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates) (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates).

INFORMATION OF VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE IN SVIT
Students are hereby informed to apply for various scholarships offered by Government of Karnataka and Government of India (GOI) National Scholarship/AICTE and other funded scholarships based on their eligibility criteria.
1. Guidelines to apply for SSP scholarship (Sponsored by Karnataka state government)
Students can apply by logging to ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in.
The data such as Name, date of birth and Parent’s name should be correct as per the Aadhar card.
The students should have valid Income Certificate in the name of the student by mentioning the total family income.
Student’s Bank Account must be seeded to Aadhar card (Through NPCI mapping)
Minority students have to apply first in National scholarship and get NSP ID before applying in SSP.
Students admitted directly and who is not having counseling number will be treated as management quota.
The students who have applied last year they can renew the same by logging to SSP portal by furnishing the required data without fail in order to receive the scholarship this year.

2. Guidelines to apply for NSP scholarship (Sponsored by Government of India)
Students can apply by logging to scholarships.gov.in.
After logging in go to the various tabs Central Scheme and UGC/ AICTE schemes.

3. Guidelines to apply for PMSSS Scholarship for J&K students
Government of India has Implemented Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme to J&K Students to pursue undergraduate studies outside the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
The students are informed to make use of this scheme for fresh and renewal this scholarship by logging to the portal https://aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in/
4. KMDC Scholarship
Minority students can apply to this Scholarship offered by department of minority welfare.
Students belongs to minorities have to apply first in National scholarship portal scholarships.gov.in and obtain ‘NSP ID’ before applying in SSP portal.

Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation (KMDC) have also implemented ‘ARIVU’ an educational loan scheme for the eligible students pertaining to religious minority community to pursue their higher education.
Note:
Only those students who have previously availed KMDC loan will be eligible for renewal, no fresh students will be able the loan until further Govt orders.

Scholarship for students from Farmer Background (Chief Minister Raitha Vidyanidhi Programme)
The students belong to the farmer’s fraternity and who are unable to get any scholarships from SC/ST/OBC/Minority cells are eligible to apply for this scheme through SSP portal

6. Free ship card for SC/ST students
Eligibility criteria:
The SC/ST student should be the permanent resident of Karnataka and who are studying in post matric are eligible to apply
The students family annual income must below 2.5 lakhs.
Main objectives of Free ship card
The main objective of the scheme is to overcome the delay in crediting the post-matric scholarship for the SC/ST students in the Karnataka State.
This card acts as a government guarantee to educational institutions on payment of fees and has directed the educational institutions not to insist students on paying the fee.
The Social Welfare Department will conduct a campaign to clear all pending applications about post-matric and pre-matric scholarships.
The prize money for those who clear the courses in their first attempt in the first class.

PROCTOR SYSTEM
We care for your ward
A separate cell to monitor the progress of the student on all fronts especially in academic and to assist them in the right direction in case they need, on an one to one basis under the guidance of the principal has been formed.
A group of around twenty students will be allotted to a teacher, who will be the proctor /mentor/councilor/guide for that group of students till they complete the course. The proctor will be from the same department for which the student has taken admission. As the student takes admission to the institution, his/her attendance progress, tests marks, results of the university examination, his behaviour and attitude in the class room and with friends and his associations are closely monitored.
If the proctor feels that a particular student needs counseling on any of the above issues, he/she will be counseled.
All the academic progress of each student is sent to their parents every month by SMS. In extreme cases the parents are called to the institution and the students are counseled in front of the parents and the higher ups. Principal will be the Chief Proctor of the institution.
HOD of each engineering and MBA department will be the Deputy Chief proctor.
All the staff of that department will be the proctors for the students of that department.
Every fortnight the teachers will enter the attendance of the students of the subject they are teaching and the test marks of the subject they have valued to a common data base. This will be accessed by the proctor and sent to the parents via SMS.
At the commencement of the First semester students and parents will know the details of their proctor.
The proctor will maintain a record book for each student for the next eight semesters, and the academic and other details being entered as and when they are available with time.
LIBRARY COMPUTERIZATION
The Library uses an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Easylib consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. Retrospective conversion of bibliographic records has been completed and more than 17622 bibliographic records of books available in the Library can now be accessed through the OPAC Search. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. The editing and updating activities are in progress.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES
The Sports Department is headed by Mr. VIJAY KUMAR S, B.A, B.P.Ed, M. P.Ed, M.Phil specialized in Athletics, Basketball,Volleyball and Football with experience of over 15 years. The Sports Department serves as a vital and integral part of student's life on campus. The mission of the department is to provide a broad spectrum of sports, recreation and leisure activities for students, staff and faculty, as well as members of the local community.
HOSTEL
The institution has two separate hostels, one each for boys and girls, in its campus to cater to the needs of students from others parts of the country. Each hostel is provided with its own kitchen and dining areas and is supported by a team of well experienced cooks. The hostels are maintained for cleanliness by a team of maintenance staff. Problems if any, are attended immediately by the concerned person.
The girl's hostel has three floors with more than 50 rooms. Three students are accommodated in each room. The food bills are on sharing basis. Two residential wardens, who are also faculty members of the institution look after the boarders. The boys' hostel is a four storied building with100 rooms, which can accommodate around three hundred students.
All rooms are provided with necessary furniture for the comfortable living of students. Vegetarian food and snacks are served and the menu is prepared by the students themselves. Day to day administration issues of the hostel are taken care of, by the warden. Hostel committee under the guidance of the Principal and senior professors monitor hostel discipline, policies and other issues related to hostels. Strict vigil is maintained in the hostel. Leaving the hostel without prior permission from concerned authorities and late entry are not entertained and the parents are informed immediately. Solar water heaters are installed in each hostel for hot water. Water purifier has been installed in each floor to provide continuous drinking water.

Today L2MRail is a robust engineering and R&D company working on Industry 4.0 technologies based on complex Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS)—the revolutionary combination of Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Big Data & Analytics, Cloud Computing, 5G and physical objects.
L2M Rail is seed funded and incubated by the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. L2MRail is also recognized under the Start-up India initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Govt. of India. L2M Rail is the winners of Elevate 2018 and received grants from the Government of Karnataka for R&D activities. L2M Rail Started Cyber Signalling Skill Lab in SVIT Campus in the year 2021.
R & D Centre Catalyzed and Supported by VGST
The ECE Department has Research & Development Centre which encourages the faculties and students to engage in R & D activities. Currently Department has received a sum of Rs.63.55 Lakhs from DST-SERB Government of India, VGST Government of Karnataka.
BUS ROUTES
The college has a fleet of 10 buses running to different parts of Bangalore for comfortable and tension free commuting of students and staff. The charges are nominal and affordable. Pick up and dropping off points are as per the convenience of students and staff. There is a plan to add more buses to the fleet so as to spread the wings of transportation to almost every nook and corner of Bangalore
