Saintgits College of Engineering, right from inception, has been maintaining high levels of standards in academic and extra-curricular realms of activities. We offer 8 B. Tech. Degree programmes, Integrated MCA, 8 M. Tech. programmes, Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). Admission Procedure – Management Allotment

Admission is strictly on the basis of merit. 50% of the total seats in B. Tech. Courses are set apart for centralized allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. 15% of seats within sanctioned intake is provided for NRI Category and given on the basis of marks obtained for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th Standard. For the management merit seats, the rank list is prepared on basis of index marks obtained by combining the percentage marks of Mathematics and Physics at the Plus Two level and/or the percentage score obtained in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination. The marks obtained in the State Board/CBSE/ICSE for each subject are normalized with reference to the highest marks obtained by applicants from the respective Board

Merit List for admission will be prepared and selection will be in the order of Merit through Online Counselling. Individual intimation with the date and time for online counselling will be sent to all successful applicants through email.

We have not authorized any agent or agency for admission.

A specific number of TFW Scholarships are earmarked for each branch. This will be allotted based on the rank list which will be prepared on the basis of merit. Registered applicants will be intimated about the process through email.

Saintgits boasts of excellent placements ever since its inception. The Saintgits Corporate Relations and Placements team employ all modern methodologies to deliver talent that satisfies the requirements of the most demanding national and international recruiters. Saintgits alumni are working in 200 plus marquee companies spread across the globe. Our placement policy aims at placing students with quality recruiters where they will be able to build a successful career. We do not entertain sub-standard recruiters for inflating the placement statistics. Our placement statistics are ethically clean.

The year 2022 will be a memorable year for Saintgits as far as campus placements are concerned. We saw our students getting placed with higher salary packages in globally reputed companies. We saw global giants like IBM, PWC, EY, TCS, Infosys etc recruiting our students in 2022. This year also witnessed average salary moving up by 34%. Total offers are at 555 and our students who are graduating in 2022 got opportunity to attend recruitment drives from 93 companies till date.

GYM
Gym is the result of a constant endeavor of the institute to see that the students grow intellectually and physically. The College has well equipped gym and is strictly for college students and staff. The Gymnasium remains open in the morning and in the evening. Students can join the gym according to their convenience. Latest equipment is provided in the gym and right guidance is given by trainers.

BANK AND ATM

A 24X7 hour ATM of South Indian Bank functions in front of the college. The South Indian Bank extension branch is just behind the ATM. Students can make use of the branch for paying college, hostel and bus fees.

CANTEEN
The college canteen offers variety of quality dishes at subsidised rates to students, staff and visitors. It remains open on all working days and it tends to be the most popular place on campus, not only for physical refreshment but also for student bonding, discussions and even work on assignments and projects. Apart from the college canteen, Saintgits has two food kiosks functioning inside the campus providing snacks and refreshments.

TRANSPORT
Affordable and convenient transport facility is provided to and from major centers like Ettumanoor, Kottayam, Changanassery, Thiruvalla and Chengannur to college campus. At present, there are 18 buses plying on different routes to help students and staff to reach the college safely.

SPORTS AMENITIES

Sports club of SAINTGITS has successfully induced the sporting culture among the students and faculty, which is evident through the laurels achieved. The college has a fitness centre located in the South block. Basketball court, Volley ball court, Table tennis, Badminton court, Cricket Net practice area, Chess and an open ground capable of conducting football, cricket and athletics are provided for the students and staff. Prominent Features are vast playing area of 41860 Sq. ft, separate play fields for boys and girls, exposure of students to state and national-level tournaments, individual attention to every player through mentoring, indoor sports complex.

Library
The Central Library, functioning as an information disseminating centre catering to the needs of students, researchers and staff community, has a major role in paving the way for better academic excellence. The Central library spreads over two floors with an area of 1120 sqm. Specialized collections of Books, Journals & Non-book materials are available in Basic Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Applied Science and Humanities. There is a collection of 56100 Volumes of Books, 153 Print Journals, magazines and AICTE mandatory subscription of e journals packages of Under graduate and post graduate programs. The SAINTGITS – Central Library has access to e-resources of Science Direct & EBSCO. We also have collections of Indian Standards Codes on DVDs. The Library has a collection of NPTEL video courses in different fields of education.
The aim of the Library is to acquire, organize, utilize and preserve the information sources and to extend effective and efficient service to the students, research scholars and faculty members of the colleges.

Hostel
SAINTGITS has an excellent hostel facility. The college has separate and secure residential facilities for both boys and girls. Accommodation at Saintgits consists of 6 separate hostel blocks. It has good infrastructure which makes students feel comfortable and find a homely atmosphere. Proximity to the city means that the students are housed in a hostel which has a serene and calm atmosphere and yet have access to the city. Detailed thought and consideration has gone in to provide utmost comfort to the students with more personal space provided in an ideal location. We believe in the aphorism ‘Healthy minds dwell in healthy bodies’ and to that end students are encouraged to use the sports facilities available in the hostel blocks. Thus a perfect blend of sports and academics ensure the all-round development of every student in Saintgits.
