Sambhram Institute of Technology is an offshoot of the Sambhram Group, widely known for its services in education, health, housing, property development, hotels and resorts. Sambhram Education Trust is the educational arm of the Group and it runs several professional institutions in Bangalore, KGF in Karnataka state and Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. SaIT is a flagship Sambhram Institution started in 2001, promoted by entrepreneurs, bureaucrats and technocrats from a variety of backgrounds. Thanks to this strong management base and an equally strong resource base, SaIT enjoys a premier status today in technology education. As a result, students from far flung areas of India and other countries are entering the portals of SaIT in increasing numbers.

ELIGIBILITY REGULATIONS
NRI’s, foreign nationals and students who have studied in educational boards that are not directly under Association of Indian Universities are supposed to obtain an eligibility / equivalence certificate from the University. The necessary application form for the same is issued from the Corporate Office of this institution.

Wherever grading system or any other system is followed for evaluating the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination, the applicant should ensure that a certificate indicating the percentage obtained has to be submitted through the University / Board last studied.
Students who are not fulfilling the study of mandatory subjects as mentioned in the prospectus as regulated by the University shall also apply for eligibility/equivalence certificate from the University.
The percentage calculation as per the University is on the total marks obtained in all subjects studied inclusive of languages for MBA/MCA/MTA/M.S in Communication/M.Sc. Electronic Media and 50% in aggregate for all M.Sc. courses in life Sciences, and Electronic Science. For certain courses the applicant should have obtained 50% of marks in aggregate in individual subjects also.
Applicants for PG courses have to submit a copy of the syllabus studied, scheme of examination and regulation relating to promotion etc.
Applicants for PG courses should produce marks cards issued by the University only and students who are submitting the marks cards issued by the colleges for the I/II year or alternative semesters should produce letter from the concerned college regarding the details of marks cards issued by the college and the University.
Applicants passing GCE / O / A level examination should have passed 4 + 3 or 3 + 2 subjects at the O & A level respectively

OVERVIEW
The SPIC of Sambhram Institute of Technology is the chief facilitator for the students to obtain placements best suited to them and primarily liaisons between Industry and the Institute. The goal of Placement Cell is to provide world class training to Sambhram Institute of Technology students. The Cell has emerged as a favored destination for many organizations who come back year after year to recruit fresh talent nurtured at the College.

The Placement Cell is dedicated to motivate and help the student community towards their campus placements and industrial training. This is done by training students from the first year onwards focusing on motivational skills, communication skills, interpersonal relationships, leadership qualities, group discussions and interview techniques.

Additionally, the Cell also provides the required infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The database of the students is managed by the cell, which plays a crucial role in suitably placing the alumni too whenever required.

The fees were nominal considering Bangalore engineering colleges. They provide discounts on the fees based on your CET ranks, your 12th marks, and based on caste as well. There were many companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, and Practo who came for campus interviews. There were also some placement drives that were conducted in the colleges, but we were informed about it.

DIGITAL LIBRARY AND INTERNET
The library rates among the fines, with numerous volumes of technical books and more than one hundred national and international journals. The library is open from 8am to 8pm to encourage students to develop a reading habit and keeping them up-to-date on their subjects. The library is fully computerized to facilitate ease of use for students to search and get information about any book of their choice.

E-CAMPUS
Dedicated high-speed leased line internet is made available to the students 24 hours through campus wiFi network. Students can access hundreds of e-journals and digitized technical books through internet in the digital library.

SPORTS AND GAMES
The college has a sophisticated gymnasium and indoor sports room with various games available to the students. A sprawling open sports field and concrete basketball ground provide for outdoor sports needs.

CO-CURRICULAR & EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Students are regularly sponsored to attend lectures, seminars, quizzes and workshops in various technical topics. They are also encouraged to organize and conduct such activities in the college as part of ‘DA Club’ – a student CLUB.

HOSTEL FACILITIES
The college has comfortable and safe hostels separately for boys and girls. The hostels have well furnished rooms and provide hygienic, nutritious and timely food and water. Special accommodation for international students are provided at the picturesque “Sambhram Roost” resort, a short distance from the college.

PROCTOR SCHEME
The Institute monitors the progress of the students at a closer level by a scheme called Proctor Scheme. Under this scheme about 20 to 25 students are assigned to a faculty who will maintain a record of the academic progress (Proctor Diary) of the students and provide guidance and counseling.
